He's the KATalyst. He's going to precipitate the Wolves going to the playoffs (and beyond).

When he makes a three point play the hard way with a foul and and-1, he's the KATalytic Converter.

So after tonight's game, Towns is officially averaging a double-double at 16.7/10.0

36 players have averaged 15/10 as a rookie. Of those players, only one did so on fewer minutes per game (John Drew) and only two had a higher TS% (Buck Williams, David Robinson).

If Towns doesn't improve a lick from what he's doing now, he would still easily be a top 5 productive pick in Wolves history, he's been that good

There's a number of rookie records Towns is in line to break

Total Points - Needs to average 20 ppg
FG% - Record is 51.1% (Szczerbiak), Towns at 54.0%
FT% - Record is 85.4% (Foye), Towns at 85.1%
Total Rebounds - Needs to average 7 rpg
Total Blocks - Needs to average 1.2 bpg

I freaking love Towns as a person and a player, it makes me happy to see him doing so well since I "banged the table" for us to draft him so hard. The fact that he just turned 20 like 2 months ago is also insane to me, is it fair to say he's already playing like a top 10 center?

I really wanted to draft Towns but I had no idea he would be this good. I really thought he would be a big mobile, defensive guy. Could score a little bit but would get rebounds and blocks. Right now he is looking like he is a big threat to many of KG's franchise records.

Agreed, I thought he would be this good but like... in year 2 or 3.... as a rookie? Holy crap....

I haven't bought an NBA jersey since KG but it's looking like that is going to change here shortly!

And in theory, this should be the WORST Towns will ever be until like 15 years down the road when he's out of his prime. He ALREADY seems to me to be the more well rounded player the Wolves have ever had behind KG. I thought he would have a problem with fouling, but even with that it's gone way down in the past month

What really impressed me in the recent Chicago game was his motor. He was all over the court. And the Bulls announcers mentioned it several times, as well. It's great to see a young player who projects to be a star (at minimum) to hustle like a role player fighting for a new contract.

In offense he is or at least very close.
In defense not yet. He was destroyed by Jordan and Gasol. Just experience tho.
