Gambo is from New York. People in New York do not put up with pathetic losing the same way people do in Arizona. There is a major difference in East Coast sports fans and West Coast sports fans. When you screw up in New York, you get destroyed by the media every day with front page headlines and millions of people bashing you. That flat out does not exist in Arizona. Gambo is reacting to the Suns and Markieff the way a typical New York fan would if it was happening to the their own team like the Knicks.

Remember those New York Knicks fans showing up to games with paper bags over their heads? You think Suns gans would ever think of or have the guts to do that. I doubt it. Most fans do not even boo Markieff. This guy threw a towel at a Suns legend during a game and what do the Suns do? They kiss his ass. Make him the leader. Fire the coach he threw a towel at instead of trade him.

Maybe some of you think Gambo is a loudmouth buffoon. Well guess what. He represents the angry Suns fans that have watched this organization get driven into the ground by a front office that has no clue what they are doing. This organization is a joke just like he says it is. You have arguably the most popular Suns player ever in Charles Barkley publicly annihilating his former team. This is the worst team in Suns history. They do not just lose, they get blown out all the time. It seems every game they are down at least 15-20 points at some point during the game. What is Gambo supposed to do here? Say they look great? He likes the Suns and hate what has happened to them. Many passionate fans feel the same.

Yeah, wasn't there one something like "There's always a sucker at the poker table...if you can't figure out who it is, it's you." I think I've heard a few variations, all good.

He is a me me me HACK, damn what you think. Where he came from or what he has seen does not give him credibility. What I learn from him on a daily basis is that the Suns are horrible, his daughters are perfect, Pei Wei is the greatest, he was a boxer and still is a top notch athlete and his girlfriend is a goddess. Screw his life, screw his opinions that he screams at the top of his lungs at all times and he is helping to lead this franchise to its death. He has no help in his solo agenda, he wants to sell windows. Loud mouth PUNK.

The sad thing is Gambo and Suns fans alike put themselves on a pedestal yet they're just as reactive and emotionally immature as Markieff.

Sorry but this is a clear insult to me (something I have always refrained from doing to other posters since I signed up on this board) and it is ridiculous. So because I want to get rid of two mediocre role players who have not helped the Suns make the playoffs their entire tenure and whom both have had trouble with the law, that makes me a fool? Yeah okay, sure. I am a fool for wanting these two guys off my favorite team right. Jerry Colangelo would have never re-signed Tucker knowing he got a Super Extreme DUI and he would have gotten rid of both of the Morris brothers immediately after their felony assault charges came out. You know he would have. I guess that makes Colangelo a fool too.

When our team is the laughingstock of the entire league and everybody treats us like a joke, i ask you who is the fool now? I definitely consider our FO as the biggest fools in the NBA

I was wondering right from the tip if Archie had been told he is going to be moved. His head was in another universe right from tip-off last night. He got into it in the 3rd and 4th quarters. You know something is wrong if Markieff is the one questioning your effort given his posturing earlier in the season....

You really think we are going to give up on Archie after we finally start giving him minutes? :noway:

For the right package? Absolutely. No question. I seriously don't think Archie is untouchable. He is showing tremendous potential, but there are still some questions lingering, not the least of which is he a 1,2,3, can he fix his shot well enough to be a reliable wing player? He has shown an ability to improve (TO's, decision making, consistency, shooting) His shot still remains a work in progress. If he can nail that and get his ball-handling up and keep the rest of what he has learned, he will be a very hot commodity. Right now it is still potential. I think his play has improved the value PHX may get for him. Maybe involved in the Bazz rumor...

Whatever.

Just to be on the record: I agree 100% that Keef needs to go ASAP. Doesn't matter the talent, the contract or the return. He makes this team unlikable and unwatchable.

That saying I wrote actually applies to him as well.

I have a totally different opinion o Tucker, tough. I love Tucker for his effort, even though I agree he would be better used somewhere else and he has limited skills (except for his awesome fast breaks, which are always funny). I wouldn't trade him

Yes lets replace him with another uncritical stooge who will shill for the FO, because the media should do their job for them in the public relations department. Can't cross a burnt bridge

They were just discussing the trade deadline on TNT and Ernie Johnson said at the very end of the segment that David Aldridge said the Suns will definitely move Markieff. And Steve Nash is about to come on the show if anyone wants to tune in.

Ummmm no

"Ummmm no" is spot on. I get that this situation sucks and that Markieff is doing us NO favors right now. He actually made things worse last night. I mean Markieff, what the hell? You know that you are being shopped and that your value in the league is low. You put together a few nice games. The new coach talks you up... and you f-ing pull this sh*t. OMG. Come on, man.

Cooler heads HAVE to prevail here. Let's please calm down, step back, and give McD a fair chance to get us out of this mess. He didn't draft Markieff. But it is his job to clean it up and put PHX in a position to win long term. That means do NOT give Markieff away. That also means TANK for a top 3 pick.

I do believe that McD has been trying really, really hard to trade Markieff since this summer. But McD is smart and he is patient. He refuses to get ripped off. Patience and trade savvy, BTW, is something we as fans should value more.

We need McD to take a deep breath and get us through this ****. We need McD to get us a good return on the plummeting stock that is Markieff Morris. Be smart. Hold the line. Get us a trade deadline deal like the one we got for Dragic. You CAN DO IT, McD!!! I have faith.

BTW -- I do like Gambo sometimes, but Gambo is NOT, NOT, NOT helping us right now. Every negative comment he makes drives Markieff's value down and hurts the Suns. He should shut up and let McD work through this mess.

That's nothing. You should hear what Chicago radio has been saying about the Bears lately. I'll take Gambo all day over the other "fluffy" local hosts who are scared to criticize the flagship team. Plus, Burns & Gambo have a good show but it's an hour/hour-and-a-half too long so they have to waste some time and be dramatic. Bickley & Marotta is excellent and they have great chemistry.

I'd love to hear Chuck Powell's thoughts on this Suns' team.

The Suns may not get great value for Markieff

From Detroit: Ilyasova for Kieff - straight up works ; Jennings for Kieff works if the Suns want total cap space. Would be nice to get Stanley Johnson but not sure that's happening anytime soon

Bulls: Noah for Kieff and Teletovic would be a total salary dump for cap space

-- for grins: Knight, Kieff Chandler for Noah and Derrick Rose works in the trade machine

Toronto - already had that deal discuss

So probably will be Detroit to play with his brother for Ilyasova or Jennings or to Toronto

So I see fits for Kieff - just not great trades for the Suns but ship up his out of Phoenix

The difference between winning and losing a Markieff trade is negligible anyway.

EG. OMG we got Terrance Jones, McD what a genius move. Damn we settled for Patrick Patterson, McD you're fired.

Return to Phoenix Suns
