agreed but based on reading some comments here, seems like you guys want more than that?

at one end there is people who outright want him waived immediately (as if it was there 28 million dollars to waste) at the other end there are posters who want to make a 'lateral' trade- getting young guys and/or draft picks would be an unrealistic steal IMO. I don't think anyone here would dispute straight up trading for a player who is putting up about equal stats and contract expires in 2017.

The thing that comforts me is, we're in a better position than most teams. It'd be nice to be the T-Wolves or the Celtics (or the Warriors). But the list of teams I prefer our position to is very long.

We started the year in a terrible position with Markieff. We tried to push through and fell to the bottom. But things happen over the course of half a season. Some teams overshoot expectations (like the Raptors) while others slide unexpectedly downward (like the Rockets). Teams reevaluate. They're no longer trying to build rosters; they're trying to assemble contenders or tear teams down. Players become available; teams' needs change. We may not have superstars, but we do have pieces that teams should want.

So at the deadline, we'll see an overhaul. We'll come out of it with young talent and draft picks, one way or another. And the toxic player will be gone. And then we'll have a new season. Maybe a new coach. And we'll see what happens.

Yeah this is really offbeat. First off Horny's son would never have scheduled his wedding to be on a game night for the Suns. No way Horny misses his son's wedding. Also a wedding on a Wednesday night is a really weird day to pick.

At this point it just seems like Gambo is making stuff up.

Ummmm... a wedding on Saturday will have a rehearsal dinner on Friday, and very easily the 'gathering' would begin a few days prior. Any bets the wedding was scheduled on All Star weekend?

As for Gambo's cred and comments about Morris.... perhaps there is a reason why MoBro is a No Go. Who would want him ? At least not with pending charges hanging around his neck. This dislike or devaluing of Morris is more so a character issue than a talent one. And the fact that he is still here, is beginning to be reflective of the character of this front office. F-er should have been suspended immediately for his actions last night, IMO. You just don't do things like that. I remember last yr, he did the same screaming in the face 'leadership ploy' on Len.

Appears McDetour is looking the other way here, in hopes that no one noticed... business as usual.

Our FO would keep Keef rather than take Ersan. We can do better.

Blaming Gambo for Morris' decline in value is absolutely hilarious. Anyone think GMs care what the local radio personality has to say about a player? Morris deserves to be burried in the press. Sarver deserves to be burried in the press.

I used to take pride in the fact that we were the best organization in sports without a title. 1st class all the way. Winning all the way. Integrity all the way.

Now we are the Cleveland Browns.

It is astonishing how one man was able to purchase this team and, over the course of a decade, shred all the good that was cultivated in the 35 years prior to his arrival.

I can rosterbate with the best of them - well, maybe not the best of them - but I can use trade machine to come up with deals. Some are whackier than others.

but the suns can either try to get expirings or young talent or option 3, veteran talent

until I saw Detroit was interested, I never personally looked at espn trade machine. and actually for Markieff, cap space makes no sense as not sure a player will come to phoenix. the Toronto trade - sure they got draft picks and some players. but after seeing Detroit and Ilysova - that's the deal I want to see happen with Kieff. unless something that I am not thinking about comes along

so as of today, one week to go- my two trades are:
Kieff for Ilyasova (heck, throw in two expirings, Teletovic and Jennings) - Suns need a PG for 20 games

and
Tucker for Augustin and McGary

This season is lost already. I don't really care if he's traded by Thursday or if it is this Summer. But, no, I don't think Ersan straight up for Markieff is enough. If we are going to salary dump Kieff we need an asset going forward of some kind. Not just an expiring player. There's not much you can do about the culture of this team over the next 30 games with very little practice time left.

If Ersan is all that is out there, I really doubt he will be moved. There is nothing to be gained by it. Markieff is playing well, he will only increase his value. Guys that produce what he is producing over the last 10 games do not grow on trees.

LMAO Portland wants to become the Jailblazers again , blowing up a promising backcourt? The Morrii are basically Motown Sheed wannabees without half the talent. Terrible return for them

Portland may want a first, but they'd plead the Fifth

After the Goodwin Grab, MoBro is toxic, once again. Anyone watching that... ANYONE can see he has anger issues. Why double the risk ?

Seriously why anyone on this board wants to keep them is beyond me. When are you guys going to realize they are part of the problem, not the solution..

When our team is the laughingstock of the entire league and everybody treats us like a joke, i ask you who is the fool now? I definitely consider our FO as the biggest fools in the NBA

What did you expect from this season? Because we're probably better off with the pick we're heading to and a decent return for Markieff than giving him away or including Archie, for instance, to get rid of him and battling for the 8 seed.

The FO drafted Len, Archie, Booker, Warren, Bogdan in the last 3 drafts, particularly given the picks they had. Apparently the biggest fools in the NBA are the best drafters.

When will you guys realize that Gambo, Bill O'Rielly, Alex Jones, Bill Maher, etc. All these guys are just loud mouthed "personalities" that spew garbage on a daily basis to fire up their fan base, boost their ego, line their pockets, and keep the ratings coming in.

The more obnoxious they get, the more viewers they get, the more advertising they get, the more money they get.

LOL @ Gambo going to the Suns directly to warn them about Keef. LOL! Really? Really?!! Like you know more then they do! He's about as informed as the top posters/mods/insiders here.

Yup. When he said he warned them I laughed out loud. What a joke.

really don't know what you guys are looking for or need, i am just saying a way to assure a team that Kieff "problems" aren't as dramatic is to have the one player he wants to play with on the said team. Most of the proposals i see have Kieff coming into detroit reuniting with his brother, my point is that Marcus could be removed for the right price.

Kieff+Marcus to Portland

Mcollum+Jennings+Detroit first rounder to Phx

Vonleh+Knight

*disclaimer : this is the base of the trade i am putting out , i do believe fillers are needed to make salaries work.

I'm guessing the last thing Portland wants is to get that bad boy "jailblazers" reputation back after trying to get rid of it for so long, plus they have to be really high on Mccolumm, and probably Vonleh as well. Of course Phx would do that.

i do believe CJ and Lillard are redundant so its not exactly "promising". and i have a different opinion of the Morris brothers. As marcus has improved being in Detroit, i think the same kind of transition could happen for Kieff in Portland. brothers have both shown they can be productive players. its the mentality.

i assume that you'd be happy with Illy for Kieff straight up? based on the Sheed wannabee's comment

lol, i literally almost past your post as i thought it was Saintescation.

CJ and lillard i do believe are redundant, while that doesn't make CJ less valuable, it does leave question marks about how the franchise views him moving forward. again i don't think Mook and Kieff are the 2nd coming of the jailblazers, but i have a higher perception of them than most.
