Mate we're always keen for a pint!

I've been told of a couple good local drinking holes by a girl from my work.

We're spending one of the days doing the salt-mines and Auschwitz tours and half a day at the front/end are just getting there, flight times suck.

We're progressing towards a high draft pick, have all our picks and CLE/MIA picks, plus we have Booker who looks like a stud SG.

The roster make-up is lop-sided and our youth (besides Booker) really doesn't float my boat and none of Len/Goodwin/Warren appear to be long-term starters in my honest opinion. They all serve a purpose, but none are guys you look at now and think 'he's our starting X/Y/Z' in 2 years' time.

I just want to move on from this Morris mess, cut ties with Chandler and surround the young guys with other young guys and hope they can mesh. Try and get Caboclo or Noguiera for Kieff; if they send Chandler to OKC for example try and get a guy with some upside like McGary. If Tucker goes to WAS try and get Oubre. I don't want expirings being the 'core' of the deal, we need some incentive to move these serviceable guys, something like a young player or a pick.

Personally, I'm getting over a nasty flu and have been off my feet most of the last week.

We're off to Turkey for an 8 day trek (4 yr anniversary present to each other), then next month we're going to Poland for 4 days, followed by a driving tour of Ireland later in March.

THEN...the big trek home, to move back to New Zealand. We've been living here in London for the last 3 years and it's been great, but now we want to settle down and start having kids. So the trip home is 1 week in Holland to see my wife's family; 1 week round Portugal, 2 weeks round Spain, 1 week in Malta for sun and some fishing, 2 weeks round Greece, 2 weeks relaxing in Thailand, then back to NZ. Going to be epic.

Also planning the trip has been a nice distraction from the Suns, though I've watched every game this year apart from 1-2 where I accidentally heard the score/was told by a friend before watching on league pass!

Where in Greece mate?

We haven't quite finalised Greece yet, all we know for sure is we're flying out to Thailand from Athens, so that'll probably be the last place.

So yeah...any recommendations?! haha

Gotta tell me what's your means of transportation, if you're christian or not (so many religion-related things to see) and if you like ancient stuff aka sightseeing or having fun in the cities.

We fly into Athens from Malta, so will be training round Greece I suspect. Happy to bus though, we get around and aren't too fussed how we get from A to B.

Not religious at all, but we do appreciate the religious history, artefacts and buildings etc so we're very keen for that. More keen for the tourist stuff over the fun in the cities - we've been doing that in London for the past 3 years so this is more sight-seeing etc.

? :-?

Not sure how to take that man...We're already a bit nervous about Turkey/Istanbul because of the bombings a few weeks back so yeah...We would have lost £1000 deposit if we pulled out.

Must see in Athens:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acropolis_of_Athens
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sounion
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_of_Hephaestus

Good places for a walk and shoppin are Kolonaki and Monastiraki.
Also a lot of museums around Athens if you're into that.

Now for some ideas for the rest of Greece if you decide to travel around.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteora
Unique view, there are literally dozens of churches built in cliffs and mountains.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympia,_Greece
The place where the Olympics started.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delphi
Archaeological site, people used to go there for oracles.

If you decide to visit north Greece the best place to go would be Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki.
An alternative would be to visit some islands, we really have many and beautiful ones. Best option this time of year would be Crete. Some things you can visit there;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knossos
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phaistos

So these are the best options I could think of, although I don't think you can visit them all in one week. You'll either head north from athens, or take a boat trip to the islands.

P.S. sorry for the late reply, I'm in the army currently and have limited free time and internet access.
