If that's the asking price, I'm sure the Suns could put together a comparative offer including our 1st rounder this year and either Knight or Bledsoe.
There is absolutely no way that Chicago called Orlando and offered up Butler. NONE.
Sure, he supposedly doesnt click with Rose, but just like the rumors suggested earlier, they try to dump Rose, not Butler. If thats all it would take to get Butler, Orlando would have done that in a heartbeat, as word was they themselves have put Oladipo on the trade table, and their (currently #11) draft pick isnt that great.
Seriously, if thats all it took, we would have Butler. I would put up our pick unprotected, Knight or Bledsoe (whichever one Orlando wanted for Oladipo), i'd take on both Harris AND Frye, and also send Warren and/or Len to Chicago to make it work.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=j73kfrqBooker/Butler/Harris/Frye/Chandler would be fine by me.
But we already know that Orlando is looking to trade Oladipo. This "Rumor" (That has only been heard on a Orlando Radio Station) is just to drum up more value for Oladipo in the league (which it wont), and to try to boost his value in the fans eyes, so they can feel better about their team after under-preforming and missing the play-offs. Kinda like, "Hey, Look Magic fans, other teams are willing to trade their all-stars for our Oladipo and a rather ehhhh draft pick in a rather ehhhh draft, so there is hope and all isnt as bad as you may think!!".
