Pitching Matchup

Hirsh had his second consecutive rough outing in his last start, allowing five runs on seven hits while walking three over 5 1/3 innings against the Blue Jays. Hirsh has been enduring an up-and-down June. The 25-year-old allowed five runs over 4 1/3 innings on June 16 against the Rays, but in his start before that, Hirsh went the distance and allowed just one run against the Orioles. Hirsh has never faced the Cubs in his two-year career.

Zambrano is 3-1 with a 1.14 ERA in four starts since his "new season" began June 1. He matched his career high with 12 strikeouts against the White Sox in his previous start, giving up one run on three hits over eight innings. Zambrano was sharp in the outing, mixing his pitches well and displaying sharp movement on his breaking ball.

They are going to try and find anyway to get this game in because this is the last time the Rockies are in-town. The Cubs have an off-day tomorrow but the Rockies play tomorrow.

I want to get the game in. The Rockies pitching has just been awful the past week, this is the time to catch them. The Jays swept them in their last series.

That does look good. I just got paid yesterday so I may pick it up.

Note: It is now getting cloudy here near me and it looks like a line of storms is forming. Hopefully it holds off.

Go send a message to Ben. B or one of the mods and tell them to make an announcement linking to the Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Sox, and Blackhawks boards.
It would be cool get some more members.

Yeah anyone can make a game thread after a loss. It's first come, first served.
