I dunno, I think right around when Jeter got the UWM job, a lot of the insiders were pretty low on his abilities. Maybe I'm mis-remembering.

I think one thing that Gard did that he deserves credit for but was just more of a natural thing was going back to their old school tendencies. For some reason they were going with the complete "olé" defense and the 2013-2015 pick/roll/pop offense that was suited for their superstar offensive players that they didn't want getting in foul trouble.

Now, they're playing with good defensive principles but getting a little bit more up on the player on defense and are using the swing off and on. Granted, they've also just started to isolate Hayes as well.

I think Bo didn't really enforce this because he had a foot out the door. Eventually he'd have gone to this as well.

Exactly, they've essentially gone back to the old grind out way they have always played when they didn't have great players. Bo was flexible and allowed a lot the last two years and back in the Harris/Tucker, even Butch era. But prior to that run, and then again the few years before the FF seasons they did it this way.

To me the Xs and Os and results are somewhat secondary to the overall history he's shown here. Though the turnaround is certainly a great sign that the players are in his corner and responding. Which is also evident in how much they don't hide the fact that they want him to take over.

Did the NCAA allow Kaminsky and Dekker to play in the first half?

Wow... Amazing half for Bucky!

How do you mess that up so badly when you look at the replay?
