Otherwise he's doing a lot stuff really well. The guy has a natural feel for the game.

The fact that he is shooting poorly and still making positive contributions offensively is what I really love.

Yeah. This might sound crazy but it almost reminds of of Roberson just from the stand point of being able to positively impact the team without scoring.

I'm not old enough to remember him but that's really cool.

Never seen Lenny Wilkens, but he reminds me a bit of Nick Van Quick!

I miss Payne when Payne could actually make shots. Those were fun times.

Payne is shooting 39% from 3FG the last 10 games and 40% for the year.

Everyone goes through a cold streak of a few games.

Yeah. Those are better numbers than I was expecting. I'm falling victim to recency bias a bit here. I guess he's only shot 33% from 3 in the month of February with a TS% south of .500 though.

(Just for the record I'm still an unrepentant fan of his game).

I think Payne will be fine.

The last couple weeks I've noticed more of his 3-point shots have been contested. When he was shooting 50% he was getting a ton of wide open 3's. Seems like teams are respecting his shot now. So Payne has to take the next step: Shot fake, drive the lane, then finish or dish.

He has good form and a nice arch on his shot and is only a rookie. I think he will be a 37-40% 3FG shooter which is very good.

Yep as teams learn how to play him he will need to adjust. I really liked that he played all the garbage time minutes when OKC was blowing out the Pels and Donovan was using the time to work on the PnR with Kanter. Not wasting any reps.
