Maybe it might be better to keep and try to play Chandler (not that we may have much of a choice) quite a bit next year to limit Len's value. Chandler will likely continue to be injury prone but if we work on rehabilitating him over the next year and hopefully building his trade value and maybe trading him trade deadline or summer 2017 if possible, when he only has 2 years left on contract that would be in all parties best interest.
I'm thinking $10-11 mil
Let him walk then, he's no Gobert. A replacement level center is not gunna command that much on the open market even if unrestricted despite being a scarcity at the position. If he hasn't supplanted Chandler as starter by his 4th year he's an official bust.
I don't think you can let a guy that young, with the abilities he has shown, walk. That's a waste of four years of investment into a guy. Centers usually blossom later. He isn't Gobert, but he is a year younger (yes I realize he wasn't what Gobert was last year either) but there are not that many Gobert types out there. If you have a 7 ft guy you can shoot like he can from midrange, and is a solid rebounder and decent shot blocker, you certainly don't let him walk for nothing.
