The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly pursuing a trade of Blake Griffin with a report arriving they offered a package to the Denver Nuggets.
"I've been told the Clippers actually called Denver and offered Blake Griffin and Lance Stephenson for Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, Will Barton and Nikola Jokic. Denver turned it down because Blake will be a free agent after next season. Plus they like some of those young kids."
Broussard said Doc Rivers adamantly denied it.

You seriously need to watch Denver games cause they are probably the most underrated team in the NBA. They look scary once mudiay and jokic along with nurik reach there potential. Barton is already better then every guard minus Paul and Crawford on the clips. Galo is there best player right now. He's playing at a very high level. Faried is right in the middle of everything they doing. Gary Harris is starting to show signs of life. Denver would be fools to take that trade. Its laughable. Barton alone is going to be a all-star. Seems like they have another quality rookie joining them next season. Denver is slowly becoming a dangerous team if they make some more right draft picks and add a vet to keep them young players in the right direction.

I'm a fan of neither team and I recognize Griffin as one of the top 10 players in the league but that is a massive package of talent they're asking for from Denver. 4 players, all relatively young and on decent contracts. All rotation caliber players or better. Jokic is a very good prospect. Gallinari and Barton are having their best seasons with Gallo playing like an allstar. If there's a point where the Nuggets are giving up too much for Blake, this would be it IMO.

It does seem like a lot.
If they could take out Gallinari or Barton I think they would take the deal.

That's not a bad look on paper if you're Denver.
LAC obviously gets more shooting (Gallo) and a great rebounder to compliment Jordan (Faried) with Jokic to develop off the bench and possibly be a fall back if they decide to trade Jordan as well.

The Clips aren't trading Griffin for Melo. They would have to get a lot more than that in return from the Celtics and Knicks.

The Clips aren't trading Griffin for Melo. They would have to get a lot more than that in return from the Celtics and Knicks.
meh, the filler can be worked out. the deal I outlined wouldn't even work without filler, this was just the major parts. maybe Boston gives up another player as well, not sure who, and maybe we give up another player as well, specifically to justify us getting a second pick. Or maybe we just get the BK pick and u guys get a few other first rounders, not sure.

Who's 'u guys?' I'm not a fan of any of these teams.
A lot more needs to be added to the deal so the specifics of the filler are important in this case. The difference in trade value between Griffin and Melo isn't very close at this point in Melos career.
