Yes. Gordon, Rodney Hood, Clint Capela and TJ Warren are the best players from that draft so far. You could make the case that he goes 1st as well because Wiggins can't shoot and might be one of the worst defenders in the league.

I never was a fan of Exum, I understood he had potential, and we needed a PG - but I hadn't seen any footage of him aside from a draft video which is intended to raise draft value, so I never put much stock into them. I was hoping we drafted Smart, and then after Smart, Aaron was my choice. Boy am I glad I wasn't the GM that day. I was a big fan of Aaron, but Marcus Smart was just so intriguing to me, such a huge build for a PG with alot of potential, and had(has) phenomenal defense. If we had the same pick(knowing what I know now), Aaron. If we had the first pick, Aaron. He arguably has the most potential in the league, and has been showing it.

media inflated so-called big three of that draft to an unbelievable degree.

and there are still people who would prefer parker? parker? seriously what have you seen from him to this point before or after the draft? what did he do to convince you, that another random mid-range pick did not do?

Call me Homer Simpson but I think Gordon has the potential to be the best player of his class. Wiggins has been a starter from day 1 in the perfect situation for him. All Aaron needs is to work on his jumper which as we've seen recently a lot of guys who started out as marginal shooters can improve drastically fairly quickly. Gordon can do everything else already just needs more seasoning.

2013 I thought we were going to pick Burke/McLemore or Dipo.

2014 I also thought Exum. Even tough I was well aware of AG. I didn't expect Payton.

Yes, I'd take AG at 2 over Parker and Embiid. I think AG could be the better player between he and Parker, given his 2 way potential. Whoever we took at 4 was a bonus, the player I wanted most in this draft was Payton.

I wanted Exum and I was shocked when they called AG's name. But once I got to know him I liked him and I think his future is very bright.

Exum could very well still turn on to be a good player. But yes, I'd take him at #2 behind Wiggins.

I'd pick Parker, then trade him to the Celts for Gordon and the BKN pick(s). If he gets taken ahead of them, I would still trade down for him, AG was before the draft and is still my favorite player in that draft, but he was really underrated heading in.

I admit that I was wrong and thought we should have drafted Exum back then. But I am very glad that Philly didn't take Gordon and leave us with Embiid

Definitely Gordon...I was not a fan of Exum or Smart. Hennigan made the right pick, AG will be the best player from the 2014 draft (in my opinion). I posted this about a week and a half ago, its players that are <20 years old this season:

Damn, Jokić surprised the hell out of me. I never saw him being that good so quickly.

Same here. TBH I didnt even know who he was before this season. And I knew he was having a really nice rookie year but I didnt know the advanced stats loved him that much. Thats one hell of a find in the 2nd round

Being from Serbia, I knew about him, just didn't buy the hype even though past season he was MVP in Adriatic league at such young age. I usually pay more attention to Euroleague and Partizan in general, so Jokić escaped my attention playing for Mega Vizura (Jokić's agent is the owner of that team and he is usually using it to drive up the price for his players).

I saw him few times and figured he is still years away from being NBA ready. Predicted that he will have trouble facing more athletic players in NBA, too.

Well, I was wrong. Looking at his draft position, I'm not alone.
