Your post loses all credibility when you call Ryan Anderson a Channing Frye clone. Also EG is expiring.

Bottom line — if there's an impending RFA (not UFA) who SVG & Bowers want long term, I think we make a play for him.

Good call Doc. This is probably the type of deal the Pistons would make if they see a young RFA they're really interested in.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I think it's more likely Howard moved than Horford. Rockets in a rut and I would be more concerned about paying him into the future

Rockets are going to take less than they wanted for Howard, and the league knows by the quantity of sources that they want to deal him

Ryan Anderson is my 2nd Favorite player in the NBA . I love the guy . I have 4 different autographs from him. He is a Channing Frye clone with better rebounding. And a little better inside game. Have you seen Anderson play in the playoffs ? Channing Frye is awesome. Other than the defense so I don't know why you are offended. He literally changes the Offensive System of the entire team.

I like both players. But Anderson has a complete offensive game. Frye is mostly a stand still pick and pop shooter.
Anderson scores 17ppg. And according to reports is about to get 15-18 mil per year (overpay but still). Frye is overpaid making half of that. Oh and yeah Anderson played in pels playoff games last year.

I could actually see a scenario unfold where things get crazy between now and the trade then all five get dealt or just standard moves get made and none of the above are involved at all by 3:00 PM ET tomorrow.
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

Thanks I needed that. I was about to have a pretty serious freak out. I don't think it's true but the way the news has been leaking out has been scary.

I think Varejao for Frye is fine value, but I'm one of the guys that believes in Frye the least. Its just that its terrible value compared to the Clippers offer.

Frye at least has some usefulness. Don't think you have to be a huge believer in him to think he's worth more than Varejao (although I grant you this in some way like deciding how you want to be executed).

This isn´t worth a speculation but I really (REALLY) hope that the Knicks find a way to aquire Jeff Teague... without dealing any of their picks and untouchables.

Thank you! Cheers!

I honestly don't know what's better — getting a prediction right, or getting it right with the top guy on my list (who I wanted the most)!

Talk me down. Back bad, about to get paid, post game will be difficult to mesh with Dre, lots of $$$ will get tied up at the four between him and Harris.
