Regarding Whiteside and T Jones, I don't think I want either...even for a bargain price.

Whiteside will get a max and I bet Jones will get a deal similar to Tobias Harris just on potential alone.

Both players strike me as the types to get a big deal and then half ass it. pass.

The funny thing is I specifically looked for that because of the one a couple days back from the same account, but I failed....

Shouldn't that be "Disney World"?

Suns trade Markieff and Teletovic/Tucker to Detroit for Tobias. Gives the Suns another young player in Harris who fits their timeline of young players.

Players traded to one team right now, cannot be re-traded this year. I mean the ink hasn't settled, so things could change until that happens, but the deadline to acquire a player via trade and be able to trade him again in the same season has long passed.

Sign me up as long as that pick is unprotected.

But I'd love to flip Anderson for another asset.

I think we can get a better asset than Anderson for Tucker and Kieff

Kieff straight up for Anderson is fine

Hate both deals. Tucker we could get something for from Toronto. Including him to dump Morris and add a guy in Anderson we don't need makes no sense.

Why is that fine? That's pretty much trading him for nothing. Might as well take a late first round pick.

Can't unless it's a three way deal. Can't trade for a guy and trade him again at this point.

A team can't do a one for one deal anymore with a traded player? Or is there a thirty day wait period for that (which would put that beyond the trade deadline)?

Unbelievable that Detroit got Harris for that package. I'm shocked. McD must be shocked. McD is in trouble.

Nobody should be shocked. Hennigan is an idiot and Detroit is slowly becoming legit.

Magic got rid of long term cap commitments. So, taking on Knight for Frye- really doesn't make sense. Unless they are worried about Oladipo and Fournier and realize Knight is locked in so if you dump Frye- that helps.

Magic will have zero cap trouble in the coming off season. Dumping Harris for cap space was a terrible move.

I guess it is that they just can't be included in a larger deal if traded for after December 18th. A one for one deal they could probably still do I suppose.

I don't think it was necessarily a dump. Skiles apparently really likes Ilyasova and Jennings as he coached them in Milwaukee. Maybe they are going to trade Frye. Maybe we take on Frye to get Oladipo and send out Knight....doubtful, but who knows at this point.

Sounds like the only team interested in Howard is Charlotte.

I think he will be headed to Atlanta. It makes a lot of sense. The Hawks already know that he wants to play there, so the chances of him re-signing with them are already high. He is from there, so it will be a bit of a homecoming and boost ticket sales and merchandising. Atlanta is pretty much in the same predicament that Houston is in, big star player on last year of contract, not believing they will re-sign with them, yet most other teams not willing to give up assets for said player in trade for the same reason. Add in that now Splitter is done for the season with surgery, they need to get Howard.

Howard to ATL for Horford/Splitter.

I think we are going to trade Teletovic for an early second round pick and stay pat...but I want some good moves.

Lots of replies about that proposal.

But some missed the "Pelicans pick" bit?

Tucker, Morris and Weems for Anderson and Pelicans pick (should get to around 12-16 post the trade), is a decent haul.

I think they tear it down before ever deciding to go forward with Dwight as the centerpiece.

Tucker alone could get us a first though. So in essence we're trading Kieff and Weems for Anderson. We don't have a use for Anderson.
