The time is now.

Post#1 » by Orlwillbeback » Wed Feb 17, 2016 3:08 am

It appears that Hennigan feels the heat from others within the organization so we are making our play to put us into position to contend.

We are consolidating assets to acquire big names. It has become evident that building through the draft hasnt worked as well as it was supposed to so we are shifting strategies. It would not surprise me in the least if our best assets like even Mario and Gordon were moved.

It has been discussed on here that we attempted to trade Gordon and Vuc for Blake Griffin.

The intention here would be to use the draw of playing with Griffin to lure other big names this summer.

We will have like 54 million in cap room this summer and could potentially sign big names like Conley and derozan or hell even durant and lebron :o

We are 4 years into the rebuild and we are currently playing our best hands.

Strap in.

The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

Is Scott Skiles the right coach for a team that wants to attract major free agents? Are major free agents going to chose Orlando over LAL, Boston, Dallas etc..? Guess we'll see.. I actually wouldnt be surprised if 2017 and 2018 are when we go hard after free agents.

There is nothing to show we've done that, actually there has been words from Hennigan himself saying he doesn't intend to trade the "core 6". I'm sure 1 or 2 of them would be consolidated if a good opportunity came along, but there's no way a Twitter rumor from locals should hold so much weight when it's unsubstantiated.

I don't think the tweet is saying they are untouchable, only they aren't getting traded in the next 36 hours. I'm sure it's down to the Frye trade and that's about it. You know Rob has been shopping all week (probably all month) and no better trade for those guys panned out, so he's pulled them off the market till the off season.

well it was already suggested that we threw the kitchen sink at LAC for Blake, not to mention all the other deals that are going around.

We most likely wont assemble a contender by thursday but what i mean is we are consolidating assets and attempting to put ourselves in position to lure a player or players of that caliber this summer.

I think we tried to put a trade together for a star but as soon as we started salary dump mode that train left the station. We are preparing for this summer and beyond.

This is about non-blockbuster trades. The point is that Payton will not be traded for expiring contracts or draft picks.
