Looks like we asked for too much and struck out.

What about 1st round pick and Trey Lyles?

If not, then maybe a 1st round pick and Jeff Withey, then just send Withey to the d-league for the rest of the year?

Bucs still covet Teague.....Kidd must see something he likes.

What's the return? Monroe? That's a lot of money.

Give me Bayless at 3M and backup O'Bryant and their #1, and we resolve their PG issues. They are not making the playoffs.

Bayless comes in and is our Gary Neal and probably allows us to finish the year with Al.

I don't even want to discuss a Teague trade with the Bucks unless they agree to trade one of those three prized young wings, they have nothing else I would want.

Don't want Monroe.
Not interesting in gifting the Bucks Teague and not getting one of their wings.

i'm ok with Teague for the Bucks' first round pick. The Bucks' pick could end up being a top ten pick.

Then it'll be an offseason trade. Because if we trade the Bucks Teague right now for just a pick, they get better right away and that top ten pick drops lower.

Teague is not Curry, he is not going to carry the Bucks into the playoffs.

Right now Bucks would get the 6th pick. With Teague he probably only improves the Bucks with 3-4 wins with half a season to go.

I did not infer that Teague is Curry, nor did I say ANYTHING about the playoffs.
However, I've just looked at the standings. The Bucks are 5 games back in the Win column from the 8th seed. They have one less win than the Wizards. Do I think they can make up the difference - NO, but the East is so wishy washy anything is possible.

The thing about the east right now, is that Detroit just got better, the Wiz will still be a better team than the Bucks, and Charlotte will definitely stay in the hunt. Meanwhile, Teague won't be making the Bucks significantly better.

It was rumored that Bud asked for Hood and a pick. So I imagine it was something along the lines of an expiring, Hood, and the GSW 2017 1st for Teague.

Tell me where you guys stand on this

If Atlanta strikes out on accumulating any talented prospects or 1sts for Teague then I wouldn't mind a Teague for Gasol swap. We just lost Splitter for the season so we are in need of a big and I think Bud could do some pretty great things with a trio of Millsap, Horford, Gasol. Our roster needs a positive shakeup and Gasol just might be the addition we need to get us back on track to the ECF.

On Chicago's end, Teague would be great for them as Rose can shift into that super 6th man role and it's added PG insurance. Both of their contracts expire at the same time so if Chicago wants to part ways with Rose by then they'd be able to give Teague the contract he's looking for.

I love the thought of acquiring Gasol.

I absolutely support moving Teague for value.

But I wouldn't do a Teague for Gasol swap at this point.

I simply believe Teague packaged with other goodies (draft picks, Millsap) can bring much greater value than 3 months of PG.

I love Gasol's game, and he's definitely a fit for us, but giving them a starter who's nine years younger and who still has another year left on his contract is a definite overpay. We should be looking to deal Teague for a young wing, and if not, I'd rather just keep him over trading him for Pau.

I would love for us to get Gasol but not for Teague.
Are the Bulls throwing in the towel? How about Splitter (they can release him) and the future Minny pick.

Maybe I'm just slightly higher on Pau than most on here. I know he's ancient but the guy is still averaging 17/10/2. I would still prefer a major young prospect but if there is not a deal out there for one I think this puts us in the ECF contention if all goes well to face the Lebrons again.

We're all high on Gasol. But he's an expiring contract.

That limits how much we should give up for him. He's essentially just a rental...same as AL.
