Re: 2015
Coulda been worse for Chelsea, away goal is a decent result. I dont see the point in resting Oscar over the weekend only to have him start on the bench. Baba looked pretty good. He's ready for more minutes going forward, especially if that means Azpi can play on the right side.

Question for those actually in Europe.
Does the media give Gent a hard time about their crest? Here in North America political correctness has taken over meaning logos as such are now ridiculed.

Hecking is showing mercy with Gent.
Lord Bendtner not nominated for today. He rather nominated a third goalkeeper lmao.

The media doesn't give them a hard time about it, but I think it is considered a point of intrigue. As far as I know, Belgium doesn't quite have the same issue of widespread white guilt or moral crusading that North American and some western European countries have.
The reasoning behind the nickname/logo is explained pretty succinctly in this article: http://thebelgianwaffle.co.uk/club-profile-k-a-a-gent/
It does seem a rather odd choice to go with a native-American theme, given no obvious ties to any tribes. But the nickname is actually derived from a visit of the original Buffalo Bill and his circus to Ghent in the early 1900′s. The crowd enjoyed it so much that it became synonymous with the club as well. Gent’s mascot of an American Indian symbolises their fight and struggle.

A press conference of Hecking once again trying to blame Andre Schürrle (or even not nominated Lord Bendtner) instead of his own terrible tactical approach if they fail against Gent might be worth watching, though.

Ha well it is certainly Bendtner's fault if they lose, since if he doesn't take the pitch he is doing a great disservice to his squad and the world in general.
I will have both games on, as this one should at least be close unlike the Roma match.
But, Spalletti and Roma have knocked out Real in this round before, back in 2008 when Roma was good...Roma won both legs 2-1, goals from Taddei, Vucinic; Pizarro, Mancini. Man, that Roma team is easily one of my favorite non-Juve Serie A squads of all time.

Re: 2015
Roma need to play with a bit more height. Loft more balls in rather than trying to smash them through the Madrid back four. Their most successful move of the game (lob through to El Sha) came from a lofted through pass.
They had a corner on the far side and elected for a short one, followed by an aimless smash into the box. Just a waste.

I agree. They are overly aware of the fact that Dzeko isn't in.
El Sha needs to get more involved and make quicker decisions, but other than that they have reason to believe.
I'm rooting for them but part of me can't help but be a little upset that that Marcelo shot didn't find the net
