I think we'll see a flurry of activity regarding the Suns at the deadline just like last year. I just don't see how all of Kieff, Tele, and Tucker aren't moved. I'd also like to see Chandler and Price moved but they seem less likely to me.

I would prefer to keep Chandler and Price to help with team culture/character. Easy to say when I'm not shelling out $13-14M a year for them, but I do not want us to start a rebuilding project that mirrors the Sixers. I think the Wolves are following a better footprint with KG/Miller/Prince there to guide the team.

This makes me sad. What's Sarvers big hang up with Colangelo. Jealousy? Everyone and their damn brother knows Colangelo was a way better owner and a respected resident of AZ. Why not embrace it? Some people In life you just want to punch in the face and Sarver for me is one of them.

Mark Cuban had the former owner of the Mavs at the game when the Mavs won their championship and even honored him during the post game speech. Why the hell cant Sarver be a stand up guy and do the same damn thing? So god damn frustrating dealing with Sarver.


Anyway, I digress, hopefully Suns do something today.

That would mean Sarver admitting to being wrong and needing help, which he's probably never done in his life. If he has, it's obvious he's figured out the solution on his own and only trusts those he has confidence in.

This makes me sad too. The organizational/team culture that the Colangelos built were a big part of what made me a fan in the first place. At the risk of using buzz words, we've lost a ton of brand equity since Sarver took over. That stuff takes a long time to build, but can quickly disappear. Sarver probably doesn't want to consult with Jerry b/c the answer is that he's one of the problems.

I remember when we were considered a prime destination for free agents. Now I strongly believe that agents are telling top players to stay away. If we had the same reputation as we did 10+ years ago, I think we would have won over Aldridge this past offseason.

Anyway now I'm digressing too, someone mentioned earlier we should probably only trade for players who will be RFAs. I think that's smart until we fix our internal issues.

I'm not a fan of Markieff, but don't make up stuff to fit your hate. There is no proof he beat up anyone, even from the eye witness account who posted here. Next he never blamed the loss on the fans. He said it sucked that there are usually more fans for the opposing team at our home games, and the fans aren't loud or even close to what he experiences in other cities. (Which is very true) there are way more cheers for Matt Bonner when we play the Spurs at Walking stick, then almost all of our players. He sure picked a bad time to voice this truth.

Now with that said, I'm fine with moving Markieff for I feel he is a bad example for our super youth, but no real rush in my opinion. He is signed for three more years, and his stock is getting better with more effort he puts forth. If no good deal comes up, it might be best to see what teams miss out on FAs come July.

Now if it's a Chicago, Laker, Spurs, or heck any major city, our fans get dwarfed out of the building. Even when GS sucked, their home crowd was very good. I scream my head off at games, call out bad ref calls and players, and the fans around me, wherever I sat, look at you like you should be like a fan at a golf game. Great plays happen all the time, if you aren't there to cheer on your team (and hopefully at Walking Stick, it's for the Suns), and you feel you don't have ANYTHING to cheer for, go home.

Enough said on the subject, back to trades. Something will happen, but I just don't think it will be anything big for us. It probably looks as if we could do better in the offseason then right now. If anything, it would be to get a player who is restricted, that would be easier to resign than to go after in FA.

Whether Markieff beat the guy up with his own hands or not... he is guilty. Standing there, holding people back and so that the victim gets the s*** knocked out of him... yeah, thats just as bad as whoever did the physical beating.

Was there more cheers for Matt Bonner because he could actually make a basket? How do you cheer for your team when you get blown out? Cheer when they miss? turn it over?

My point with Horford is who cares about the stats... Markieff is not someone you want in your organization. He has bad character. No integrity. Quits on his teammates. Blames others. I haven't seen Horford do any of those things. For that reason alone, it'd be insane to choose Markieff over Horford.

And btw, I thought it was a typo the first time, but since you wrote it twice... it's Talking Stick, not Walking Stick.

IMO, and this might sound ridiculous, but if Keef is motivated, Keef > Horford.

Although I'm not terribly familiar with Horford, one stat that jumps out to me is that Atlanta has been near the bottom of the league in rebounding rate the past few years. Also, Horford's overall rebound % is pretty low, a lot lower than I expected. Admittedly there's a lot more to consider, but I think the comparison between Keef and Horford is closer than many think.

But regardless I'd still take Horford over Kieff any day. From what I understand, he's a huge positive when it comes to being a teammate and overall team/organizational culture.

Time to put this one to bed.

Career comparison-you can look at just about anything....I thought under advanced, VORP popped out pretty big. But WS/48 he doubles him and just about any individual stat...

Any way you slice it, Horford is on an entirely different level.

I think they will all be moved too. I said earlier I don't expect anything to happen until Thursday. I'll be REALLY surprised if Telly isn't moved, and pretty surprised if Markieff isn't moved. Tucker could probably easily be moved, but nothing will really surprise me with him.....seems like a contender would want him though.
