It's only about 14 minutes long, but touches on the Pacers move into the NBA from the ABA, and how if financially crippled the team for awhile (due to the merger terms, such as giving up TV revenue for first 3 years in the NBA, and such).

Channel 20, the Indy PBS station, had a Slick bio last year that was even better. One thing that stuck with me was that his family was so poor growing up that they couldn't afford tooth paste and when he graduated high school one of the teachers paid for the dental care he badly needed.
