Rockets Pitching Ty Lawson Trade To Jazz

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Feb 17, 2016 11:45 pm

The Houston Rockets remain interested in trading away Ty Lawson.

Lawson hasn't been a good fit for the Rockets this season after coming over from the Denver Nuggets in the offseason.

The Utah Jazz need a point guard and the Rockets have pitched them on Lawson.

Lawson's contract for the 16-17 season is non-guaranteed.

Jazz should take him... for free...

But not give up anything for Lawson

How does that pitch go? "Hey, your locker-room looks like it has everything except an alcoholic troublemaker who might go to prison, want ours?"

unless there's a draft pick coming for us for taking this locker room cancer/off court problem PG I don't see why the Jazz do this..

Terrible idea. Being forced to live in a place like Utah would only encourage Ty Lawson to drink more and just exacerbate his alcoholism.

First off ... you're an idiot. Not funny. And, not because it's a jab towards Utah, but because of his alcoholism.

Second off ... Utah is a pretty awesome place to live, it's not just all Mormons. One of the best places to go outdoors.

Basically that was a long about way to tell you to shut the hell up.

1) Dude you don't need to get upset... this place is home to all kinds of folks. He was trying to be funny and clearly missed. Peace and love and brotherhood of man and all that crap. Let's all just try and get along!

2) Agreed. I'm not from Utah but I love it there! Some of the best Snowboarding in the country. Some of the best National Parks in the country. I had a moose walk into my campground... it scared the crap out of me! The point is, I would never run out of stuff to do there. But some folks don't like the outdoors and those folks might be screwed.

Mabey if the rockets through in a draft pick.

Besides the drinks are all watered down in Utah so it would be good for him.

Would Utah really be interested in this guy with what he's been through? Burke isn't a star, but Lawson is a real big gamble for them.

So interesting how things can change in 6 months. Even after his DUI's people on here were saying how much better Houston was going to be with Lawson at the point.

At this stage I'd say Lawson is done other than if he were on the waiver wire. Point guard is a stacked position.

Not seeing any team give up assets for Ty unless its a pure salary dump, given his salary is non g'teed for next season.
