Yep.

The Kings reached out to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, too, league sources said, because the Sixers have the right to swap picks with the Kings’ on the 2016 pick. The Kings wouldn’t be able to complete the deal involving the pick with Chicago unless they could reach an agreement with Philadelphia. The Sixers were preparing to ask for a further sweetener to allow the Kings to move on a deal with Chicago, league sources said.

That doesn't make sense to me, but if we have to, then I guess we have to.

Apparently the deal is:

Gasol and Tony Snell to the Sacramento Kings for Kosta Koufos, Ben McLemore and a lowering of the lottery protections on the 2016 first-round pick that Sacramento owes the Bulls.

Hope Bulls pass if that's the offer. Too much for Tony Snell and less than 30 games of Pau Gasol.

The major hold-up is with the Sixers.

The Sixers can have Vance Walberg back. Heck, that's probably why we fired him.

If we make that trade, I quit. I hope we struggle to win 25 games, Gasol leaves us and Cousins asks for trade and we win the #1 pick and have to trade with the 76ers. STOP **** WITH THE TEAM, VIVEK

Well everyone was OK with Koufus for Moz so in that sense nothing changes... However including Ben and a 1st to get Pau is nuts. The guy is good but it's literally a 29 game rental. No way he resigns. Right? Even Vlade's charm has no shot at him resigning.

As for Philly, who can we send? Oh oh oh! James Anderson!

Kings and company would be taking the gamble that they can convince Pau to resign. If that's the case, Vlade is one confident man

Yeah, I highly doubt Pau re-signs.

Wants to opt out and sign an extension with Chicago...I never said he will resign...I'm saying if this trade were to happen, Kings organization is taking a gamble that they can get Pau to sign an extension...

Of course he's going to opt out. He just made the all star team at 35 years old. He has one more 2-3 year contract left in him.

No way Vlade can be this incompetent and offer KK/McLemore/ Lower protected 1st +asset to Philly in order to lower protection, all for 36year old rental expiring Pau Gasol, oh and Snell. Like, what am I missing here?

At least force Chicago to send Philly the sweetener!

nothing surprises me with this team anymore...just expect the worst possible outcome this team gets, it lessens the pain we would be feeling...

Inserting Pau into the league's #1 pace team will be a train wreck waiting to happen, imo. Unless Karl tones down the pace, I don't think Pau fits with the Kings. Dude is 35 and is on his last legs (& contract year). 29 game rental for what exactly?

Okay any positives at all? I get much of the push back...from a pure talent standpoint, Pau would be a cohesive fit next to DMC. Can operate from elbow, low post, and corner. Excellent passer, high IQ, and he's a champion. I remember DMC saying when he came into the league that Pau was his favorite player and the guy he'd like to model his game after.

Okay there is my optimistic outlook...now back to reality...no way he resigns...unless he finds out Cousins is his long lost brother from another mother. And unless Rick Adelman coaches this team...won't work...Vlade seems to be trying to recreate his Kings team but problem is...we have the wrong coach

On his last leg? Yeah it would SEEM so...he is 35, but he's played very good basketball. 17 and 11 and 2 blocks. All star appearance.

Same can be said with Cuz. He's approaching that age now, the body can break down from wear and tear. Leading the league in pace is not in the best interest of your bulldozer asset.

Pau is 35 and is at the end of his career. Cousins is 25 years old and is heading into the prime of his career. Plugging Cousins into the league's #1 pace team isn't ideal for him but he still manages to produce big numbers and has pretty good impact overall. I don't think you can say the same thing to Pau. That was my point.
