Meh, Gobert is overrated IMO. He is better but mostly b/c he's not (Please Use More Appropriate Word) like Whiteside. Whiteside has the size, athleticism and attitude to be potentially the best defensive C in the game but he's inconsistent b/c that noggin of his isn't screwed on too tight. Gobert's better offensively too.

I like Gobert because he is a French. It would work out nicely if we keep Nic Batun. But that Cory Jefferson in Dleague I like him.
He can finish basket for Pick N Roll and can shoot from outside and is athletic

We'd have to give up too much. Gobert is on a stupendously fantastic contract being picked late in the draft. To make salaries match Charlotte would have to trade either Kaminsky or Lin for him and Utah would get very angry for even suggesting such a swap.

I liked Cory Jefferson in college so there's a very likely chance we'll never see him in a Hornets uniform.

re* knucklehead doesn't begin to capture the issue. miami is a place where knuckleheads go to behave. it is a no BS place with riley at the helm. if this is his best behavior, he is a lost cause. he is surrounded by pro's pros and even a guy who got it together in Birdman. there is absolutely no way i would give him anything remotely approaching a 4 or 5 year max.
