I'd love love love love to make them an offer.

Don't tell me he is a dinasour, he has the best post game of any rookie in 10 years. Combine him with Booker and we have our offensive building blocks.

We should definitely should go after Okafor (lol@dinasour)

As long as Keef is gone, it could be worse...

If we get Dwight does he resign with this franchise? Million dollar question.

Race is an enormous issue in sports. Stephen A. is not the most level headed guy, but of course he's paid not to be. I have no problem with Spears tweet.

Nah, but I think the point is moot anyway. The TSM would never, ever sign off on Dwight's knee. The people over at that god awful Rockets site I won't name have been saying he needs microfracture for the last year. I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. Especially not at the contract he wants.

That's fine, but there are already reports of Phoenix having 1sts for Markieff, so I guess you're thinking no team would give up a 2nd for each of Tucker and Tele. I completely disagree.

My trade included DAL 1st 2016, a 1st round pick from 2015 (Hunter) and a early second from 2015 (Mickey). I don't follow your thinking. How is one late first and two seconds from a weaker draft a better haul?

You can't assign first round value to guys picked a year ago who haven't done anything positive. Same with early 2nds. That only works when the other team wanted them in that spot too and is willing to look past the fact that they have shown nothing. For instance, Ben Mclemore has had moments and you won't see him going for a lotto pick.

They are rookies who haven't got any run/opportunity to "show something". McLemore has been in the league three years, recieved ample opportunity, AND he was drafted in the worst draft in a decade.

More importantly, the possible opportunity cost of trading a lottery pick is much larger than that of tading Morris, Tucker, and Teletovic.

That comparison sucks.

This trade deadline has had barely any activity and virtually no interesting rumors. I wonder if it is because of the Warriors. There is practically nothing any team can do to compete with them. It would take a move like Durant to the Cavaliers or Lebron to the Thunder to truly impact a team enough to question whether a team will compete with the Warriors. Maybe teams are saying screw it, we are not beating the Warriors this year anyway so what is the point. No reason to trade away picks or assets when we are near certain going to lose in the playoffs.

Yeah agree as well. Racism is a real problem, and when you start labeling everything as racism is diminishes the real issue. It takes credibility away from the times when real race issues are being brought to the forefront - allowing bigots to go "see, they're playing the race card again". I feel that this is especially an issue in the US, where people go out of their way to be offended by things. Social media has amplified this, fueling twitter feeds with the "lazy activism" of PC tweets, which has become a substitute for actually doing something about the problem. People pet themselves on the back for sending an angry tweet to then oscar committee, and then proceed to go about the rest of their day feeling proud about how they've done something good today to address the issue of racism in America.

The bolded is exactly my point. Rookies who can't make the rotation because they aren't good enough yet to overtake regular role players don't retain value. Also, McLemore may have been in a supposed bad draft (which it really wasn't--see Gobert, McCollum, etc.), but he's still every bit as highly thought of as RJ freaking Hunter, a super late first rounder in a not special draft.

How about Vonleh? How about Thomas Robinson? There are countless, and I mean countless, examples of this. You have to be living on the moon to miss them. Draft picks simply do not hold value when the guy plays 10 minutes a game in a season and shoots 33% from the field and 24.5% from 3. That scenario simply does not exist.

On the general board someone thought they could trade Shabazz Muhammad for Devin Booker.

Makes me very skeptical about Okafor.

Exploring trade options for Okafor could simply mean that Embidd is showing promise. Additionally the 76ers might have Saric and Simmons on their roster next year as well.

Okafor is a legit low post option and I think he'll mesh a lot better with Len than Noel.

I would offer either:

Bledsoe + Keiff + Warren

or

Suns unprotected pick + Keiff + Archie Goodwin

Wow. You REALLY like Okafor. There is a reason Colangelo wants to dump him.

having a discussion about this over on the Off Topic board, in particular Beyonce's performance. There is a lot of back and forth , but ultimately my point is, wtf was the purpose of her doing that? to create and endorse a bigger divide of race and color? To me she's playing right into the problem that is focused on race rather than corruption. In reality she just did it to boost her sales.

What are 76ers doing.

They traded away MCW, Embiid is probably lost to injury, thinking of trading Okafor. That leaves Noel for 4 years of being crap!
