If Monti stays healthy and returns to his old form, then they just robbed Houston at gunpoint. But if he can't stay healthy, then they just gave away a mid first round pick for the privilege to pay $8-$10 mil a season for a guy who will sit on IR.

Frye for Clippers is falling through, I hope Cavs get him - this might force the Raps to part ways with the NY pick, and we could give them both PJ and Kieff for the pick, PatPat, JJ and Nouriega. (Heck, I'd even throw in our 2nd rounder of the Cle pick if need be.)

Maybe throw in Telly to a Toronto deal...they could use shooting even if they get Markieff, especially if they give up Patterson. If we give them Tucker, Kieff and Tele that might be enough for that Nuggets/Knicks pick.

I can't see them giving up that pick for just Kieff....they'd give us their own for just him probably.

Add Scola to the deal to Phoenix to make the salaries work
Kieff, Tucker and Teletotiv for Pat Patt, Scola, JJ, Wright and the higher pick

Scola makes less than Teletovic but both are expiring

Agreed 100% SVG is smart. (sidenote: I think there might be another larger jump in the cap in a cpl years, as I read that owners like the idea of ads on jerseys - think about what coca cola would give up to have their name on the lakers/ny jerseys...)

Kieff is NOT gonna be happy if he isn't traded, regardless of what they newspapers said...and even all these wiretaps and headlines saying he wants to be in Phx are misleading if you actually read the articles.

We can likely get something reasonable for him in the offseason but I'd rather he be moved now.

I don't doubt that we could potentially get a better deal for Keef in the offseason, but I don't trust the dude to not do anything stupid for the next 7ish plus months.
