Who would be the starting 2? Need a defensive player for sure. 3&D would be ideal. Maybe someone will get bought out or something? idk.

I definitely wouldn't include anything surrounding that first in any way.

Also, I much prefer koufos mclemore for shumpert and mozgov. Gasol is old and will walk in the summer. If we include lowering protection on the first I would be floored.

That big to big passing would be crazy. Imagine a Boogie Gasol p&r? lol. Prob Karl's nightmare to get a 7ft slow old PF, but he's damn good.

Snell would help with the d. Depending on what they want to do for the pick, i'd do this trade all day. Honestly, I think this draft sucks anyways. If not Ingram-Simmons, it's meh.

Seems like the gasol deal isn't going down. Guessing we don't make a move, finish in the lottery, draft someone who won't help for 3 years, and lose rondo lol.

:crickets:

This summer might be a tough one if they want to bring Rondo back and he has any suitors. We might be staring at the same roster for some time.

If we make a move I wonder if we don't hear about it until 15-30 mins after the deadline.

Seems like it would sort of fit our style.

No move is great news. God how much would that Pau trade have sucked!

Kings are winners by not doing anything stupid. Now juts dog it down and get through the season. Let an experienced GM pair with Vlade's vision make the best moves.

We'll have to see if by not cutting some dough it effects the Kings ability to reshape the roster from here on out.

This deadline is a fail should the Kings continue at a sub .500 pace.

To me, not making a deal means that letting Rondo go in the offseason is probably a wise idea because in order to fill the areas of need it's most likely going to have to come by way of signing someone.

I actually feared they were going to dump Gay/McLemore to Chi for Pau and our pick or something

I don't fear letting Rajon go at this point, needs to put work in on both sides and prove he can play off Boogie (not the other way around), Darren already has

Deals can always be made in the early off-season to clear cap - plenty of teams will have space to absorb Koufos who is the guy we should dump if we need cap room.

I'm 100% for letting Rondo walk. He bogs down the offense and is just not that productive or conducive to team ball - as weird as that sounds for a guy who's leading the league in assists - and on defense he might be the worst starting PG in the league.

I personally would have liked to see the Shump deal go down but I guess we're better off just taking this roster into the summer and making something happen then. I read on twitter somewhere that Cleveland offered us Moz/Love for Cousins

This is better. Now we can get a report on all the stuff that "could have happened"

Dude, your personal problem with the guy really needs to stay off the board. If you don't like his posts don't pay them any attention, it takes more effort to make a post clowning him than it does to scroll right on past it.

I'm happy we kept Collison. Dude is a pro. SacKingZZZ was reluctant to sign any point guard ahead of him and now I understand :banghead:

Rondo is awesome and fun...but as said above, boogie has to play off of him...Collison knows how to play off of Cuz...

I would have liked to see Koufos traded to free up the log jam and get more minutes for WCS at backup center as well as the 4 spot. But oh well.

Vlade has brought what this organization hasn't had for years...STABILITY

I wouldn't go that far and say the Franchise is Stable. Karl's days are numbered, his assistant coach was fired, Vlade/Vivek might be searching for a GM, and half the roster was rumored to move for the right price. Stability will come once Vlade hires his coach/GM and they go a full season coming together as a team.

I think most of us know this team would be better with Darren starting. Last year we had one of the best starting 5's in the nba. We replaced JT with someone better suited for the team and replaced collison with pg who may not have been the right choice to sign in free agency.

Hopefully the break brought em closer together and they come out playing well

For the record, I was all for going after Pat Bev and going into the year with a Beverley/Collison combo.

Look, the problems the team faces go beyond even strict personnel issues. Well, unless you take the coaches view that with better individual defenders Karls system would be A OK. Which there is a point most likely. But then again, if that's the issue why does he repeatedly play lineups that are literally incapable of playing in certain ways on the defensive side of the ball? The Rondo/Collison combo is deadly, and not it a good way. Yet, he continues to play them major minutes together. Quincy Acy is relegated to towel waiving on most nights. Willie gets yanked at the drop of a hat on the first half hearted screen he sets. It just makes no sense.

Slowing the pace might help some things. I mean, if you think about it, when you're poor defense is more of a factor in the W/L column than your "great" offense, how does creating more possessions per game for both sides help you? At that point you may want to look at limiting the number of times the other team has on offense first and foremost and that means limiting your own attempts as well.

Rondo is what he is defensively, but even not so awesome defensive teams can be better than the Kings have been this year. This summer is a big one, and while I like Vlades stick to it philosophy I hope he's still looking at the clear needs of this team. And right now that probably includes a lot more than sticking to it or making a minute change like firing the water boy or something.

Allow me to rephrase...because this franchise is not stable. Lol...but he didn't feed chaos with more chaos..
