The next two games vs Denver are huge.

CBS has Ben listed as game time decision.

Current standings

7. Blazer 27-27 4.5 games behind
8. Jazz 26-26 4.5 games behind
9. Rockets 27-28 4 games behind
10 Kings 22-31

Tank watch

6. New Orleans 20-33 2 games above
7. Milwaukee 22-32 1/2 game above
8. Denver 22-32 1/2 game above
9. Sacramento 22-31
10. New York 23-32 Tied
11. Orlando 23-29 1.5+
12. Washington 23-28 2+

So we are 2 games away from the 6th pick, and 2 games away from the 12th pick. Our pick is protected top 10, swap options for Philly.

Is Karl THAT out of touch with reality?

Blazer's record, according to Karl that "will be difficult to catch"

27 - 27

Utah's record, according to Karl that they "have to focus on"

26 - 26

Both records are virtually identical and are at .500 and yet, they are quite different according to Karl. Utah is getting healthier and gaining ground from their injury woes earlier in the season.

This game is a true must win. There's no way out now. If they don't come out with some fire this game, then they may very well just flush the season.

They already flushed the season away when they went into a free fall after the 2OT loss against the Hornets. While Jazz/Blazers increased their stronghold of the 7th and 8th seeds, respectively during that time. After the 5 game win streak, the Kings are 2-8 in their last 10.

After the Denver games (we played them twice in a row), the schedule (next 10 games) will be brutal:

Spurs
Clippers
Thunder
@ Grizzlies
@ Mavs
@ Spurs
@ Pelicans
Cavs
Magic
Jazz

What are the chances the Kings get more than 2 or 3 wins out of that? That 2-8 record in the last 10 was a real back breaker. If they would have won the games that they should have, they could have cushioned some of those tough games in the next 10 and be in a position that they can make a legit run for the 8th seed (or 7th seed) for the last remaining games but no, they will have to play catch up and play well above of their abilities to beat some of those mentioned above. I don't like their chances at all.

If for some reason they are crazy enough to think PO is still in the picture, they need to win those 2 Denver games and at least come out 6-4 for the next 10 games to have any chance of a PO run, imo. After 12 games, they would be 30-35. Still, they need to have a 6 or 7 game win streak somewhere down the line as the season begins to end to make ground lost and catch Utah, Portland and possibly Dallas too. That is a tall task for them to do.

I'm talking about giving up essentially. Looking at the old fashioned tank. Players playing limited minutes in favor of what I don't even know. Unfortunately, the one thing about sucking without a whole lot of young talent on the bench is that it sucks because there really aren't any guys on the bench to develop.

I'm well aware of the the minimums the Kings would need to get to in terms of wins. Yes, maybe it's not doable on their best day, but there is a chance. Beyond just the plain numbers game, a loss in this one would very easily create the landslide potential of players just giving up for good.

I guess our only hope is that the dismissal of Vance Walberg was the key to turning this thing around.

I guess nobody told Willie about Coach Vance huh? Haha! No but he's a professional and a junkyard dog. Exciting to think of his development short and long term

Mike Malone ethers Vivek.

From: http://blogs.denverpost.com/nuggets/2016/02/19/michael-malone-looking-forward-to-facing-team-that-fired-him/13907/

“I’m a competitor,” he said. “Obviously, that team fired me. They didn’t think I was good enough to lead them going forward. That’s their loss. I’m in a better place, I’m working with better people. So I don’t go in there with any animosity at all.

“They gave me a great opportunity, and as an owner you have the right to get rid of people whenever you want. And that’s the decision they made. Ever since I got fired, what’s happened in that time speaks for itself. I’m just happy I’m in a place with good people who communicate with each other, and we’re all operating on the same page.”

The difference in how he carries himself, to Karl is interesting.

Wonder how many years we will be haunted for this?

Ben annoyed me on the floor before, now am I supposed to hold animosity towards him for the trade demand?

Why is WCS not starting? Did I miss an injury?

I still think him off the bench is better. Acy is more consistent in a few areas above Willie, he sets better screens, has better hands, and is more consistent.

I really like what I'm seeing so far over all. So, is the dribble drive officially dead or is this just another fluke?

It's going to be interesting to see how Rondo plays in new system

I admit I was a Mudiay guy, and I admit he isn't a good looking kid once I see him in the nba

At what point is Christie a regular commentator, with or without Jerry?
