Can anyone explain how in the f*** Kieff was positive value?!?
It has to be just Grunfeld being his usual idiotic self, right? Right?!?

I'm pretty stumped by this. Don't want to derail too much, but it doesn't seem like anyone else was interested and that PHX was pretty desperate to move on. I guess Washington felt like they desperately needed to add talent, but it just seems on bargaining power alone they could have gotten a much better deal.

I'm glad lot of ppl are eating crow for Kieff. Us Suns fans deserve it after many bashed us when we said that Kieff would bring back more than 2nd rd picks or other bad contracts in return which many of you thought.

I predicted Wizards to be interested on Morris. The value varied...
i thought Nene and a first...
then was crazy enough to think Porter ... maybe if suns added Tucker.
i just though Morris made sense with either raptors or wizards.

i was one of the hundred suns fans from this site that wanted Morris out... for 4 months now.
i know his value is low....
but he has talent and on a team he doesnt have a tantrum againts... i dont see how he wont play hard again.
he wants a big contract next time obviously.
all those teams trying to low ball suns... gambled and lost... thinking suns gm will get desperate first....
but some gms out there are more desperate for talent.
i really think Morris will provide good service to wizards...15 and 7 IMO.

I actually have high hopes for MM with Wall, Beal, and Oubre. I think that's a pretty good group and all pretty young.
I was more commenting on the bargaining position of Washington and what I see as a panic move. It's not that I don't think Kieff will help them a lot if he returns to form and overcomes other issues in a new environment, I just think Washington negotiated very poorly. I haven't seen much on this other than what's been posted here, did other teams make offers? I know Toronto publicly disclaimed interest.

Re: Eating Crow 7
Morris will play hard... especially against the teams that passed on him and doubted him...
he plays well against Aldridge since he was almost shipped out to make room for Aldridge.
raptors will regret it...unless they get a stud PF in the off season... they wanted to really buy low on Morris and hoping suns gm caves.
dont get wrong... Morris is a douche and very un professional...but i think money talks and he has high pride... so he will do wizards right and hope to get a massive contract in 3 years.

Re: Eating Crow 7
Price aside for the moment, Kieff is certainly the most interesting story coming out of the deadline.
Now we'll see whether he left his baggage in Phoenix or brought it with him. I'm sure he's happy to be moved but that spotlight ain't going away any time soon!
Any more crow-eaters out there?

Uh just about every person itt has copped to Markieff. I mean do you want us to scourge ourselves as well?
This thread is for eating crow. Someone will start a "Told You So" thread and feel free to brag there. This is the confessional booth.

Lol no ones bragging. I think most Suns fans know that Kieff is gonna play real well for Washington and this very well has a chance of going in a direction where Wizards actually got a bargain.
And I'm defending the people in this thread. I appreciate the people, like you, who admit they were wrong in this thread. Like Kerned said earlier, it takes balls to admit you were wrong. And just like he said earlier, there are lot more people who bashed and flamed Suns fans when we said Kieff would net more than just utter garbage back in a trade and those people don't have guts to show face in here.

Re: Eating Crow 7
I thought Philly would move Canaan, just because he is a rfa. And would take on someone to get to the floor (Novak). Felt Philly wouldn't move a big yet. Wasn't that far off there, with Joel instead of Novak but no Canaan move.
Besides that, I had Markieff as worth a later 1st, so a mid 1st is more. Rest of the trade deadline didn't give me much crow at all.
In terms of before the season, I had Mudiay as the favorite to win rookie of the year. Towns as the best log term pro, but didn't expect him to be top 2 in the award just due to usage and roll. So, I'm eating crow on those two.

Can you really not figure out why this sort of comment is inappropriate here? You should be able to. Especially after its already been explained to you again.

I thought Harris would get a lot more so I'm eating crow there. If someone had posted that trade on here to get our opinions I would have said Orlando wouldn't do it because it's not enough for them.

I guess. I just thought it was more of a compliment for those that did post in here but I see your point.

Re: Eating Crow 7
I thought the Jazz would stand pat. They made a small trade instead.
I also didn't think Kieff was worth a first. Not with felony charges out there. Why pay a 1st for a guy who may not even be available to play?
Plus PF seems like an easy position to fill. I saw a list of 3 guys who might get bought out, all 3 were PFs. I don't think it's much of a conicidence. PFs are a dime a dozen. Why pay a 1st for Markieff when you could probably just sign David Lee for peanuts?
So, I'm still eating crow. Even with the facts in evidence I still refuse to see them.

Based on the preseason and his physical tools lots of people, myself included, thought Mudiay would have a great year. I have not watched him much. What happened?

Re: Eating Crow 7
Its kind of funny seeing some people in earlier threads eat crow on something that later turned out to be something that was great in the long run for instance 1 Laker forum mod, said GS fans had to eat crow on the bogut trade saying it was a big flop, although that was after the deadline in 2012 so at the time it made since. But with hindsight, it's a laugher

Load me up with the crow....fried please, no feathers......I thought the Warriors would be undefeated. At least they kept their part of the bargain at home.
Seriously though I was totally wrong about Lance Stephenson getting dealt. Didn't think anyone would take that fool.

Re: Eating Crow 7
I love the annual Eating Crow thread!
Here's to all of us who actually step up to the table and dine on some fine Crow, much of our own making.
For my part I have been a vocal proponent of the Rockets not trading Motiejunas. Yeah, the warning signs were all there; but I remained a believer up until he became a Piston that the Rockets valued him too highly to move and would instead opt to move other players.
People keep trying to convince me that the Rockets got good value back for a player that was a Restricted Free Agent...but I am not buying it yet. All I have left for me now is this big, delicious plate of Crow and it only cost me every wrong assumption I held about the Rockets and their plans for Motie.
I am super-psyched for Detroit (whenever they are not playing Houston), and I wish them nothing but success with Motie as a big part of it.
