I dont remember anyone being 'run out of town' like this. The past couple of days, the radio promos for KTAR ran 'Pro Trade' spots. No love, nor even an unbiased approach. They really soured on both Mngmnt and Assclown1 with their speculation. Good thing McDazzle was able to move the FartyFellow, else the blame/hate would have tilted more onto the FO.

This was a bad chapter in our book. Lessons to be learned ? I would imagine the FO will be more wary of character for who they take on. The radio boys also touched on the scowling Bled and Griffin....pointing out the un-likability of these guys. The FO has some work to do to win back the fan base. It is only a small gain...this addition by subtraction, as for a talent for talent swap, in a vacuum, we likely lose this deal.

I think Jason Kidd is the last PR nightmare on the same level as this.

That trade also ended the glory age of 90's Suns basketball and was probably the last time we had "no hope in sight." Hopefully Booker is able to have the impact on our franchise that Amare had then, and in two year, we can attract another marquee FA a la Steve Nash.

I remember being really upset we didn't get Kemba in that draft. Although Kieff soon then became my favorite Sun after Goran. It's unfortunate it ended so badly here(I think Marcus is to blame for most of it) but I wish him well in DC.

I'm with you guys. I wish that Kieff didn't pull this **** before the season started but it happened. As a result we get to tank like we should have done and build through the draft. I'm not saying we should turn into Philly/LAL.

I'm just saying that until we acquire an All-Star we should look towards the draft and make smart trades when/if possible.

I very rarely hate basketball players, especially those who have played for the Suns, but if I had to name my least favorite player of ALL TIME, it would be Markieff. Please don't do well in Washington, we (especially Archie Goodwin) won't miss you for one single second.

In terms of NBA toughness Markieff Morris is a phony. Traditional tough guys pound on opposing players, out muscle people for balls and get in their opponents heads. People compare Morris to Rasheed Wallace and it is a laughable comparison, the only commonality is they both had a propensity for getting T'd up. Morris is a wimp on the glass, he does not draw fouls and does not beat up people under the hoop, he does not hustle. He is far more likely to lose his cool and have people get in HIS head than the other way around.

No opposing player ever looks at Markieff across the court and thinks to themselves "I'm going to get some bruises tonight", they're far more likely to be thrilled with the opportunity to juice up their rebounding totals. If not for his habit of getting stupid Ts and screaming at the refs and his own coaches the guy would be considered a cream puff.
