you are just reinforcing how soft todays league is. Suck it up, take the hits and be a man.

He'll be a man. Just on another team. If you worked somewhere that was only willing to pay you a fraction of what other companies would, had you doing a job that showed only a fraction of your ability and had co-workers that were regularly calling you out, subtly or not-so-subtly, would you want to stay there? It has nothing to do with softness. He'll have options that are better than this one. So why should he want to stay? I wouldn't.

Whiteside is without a doubt a max player and should have been an allstar over Wade and Bosh. Someone said they can't stand the blinded support for him by fans well I can't stand the blinded hate for him. Miami should give him a max and build there team around him from this point going forward.

What blinded hate? The worst thing I've heard anyone say about him is that he's immature and that his metrics indicate that Miami's been better without him on the floor. All of which is proven.....facts don't equate to hate. That outlook my friend, is a straw man.

I could cherry pick any advanced metric to use against any one of our players, because there's a bad metric/stat for every single one our players that anyone could use as "facts" as to why we are "better" without that particular player.

That "proven" metric of us being better without him is outdated anyway. Example: If we were "better" with him on the floor for the months of dec, jan, and feb, should we sit him because he was a net negative back in October and November?

Some of our best 5 man rotations include Hassan. Heck at one point during the season our lineup of Dragic Wade Deng Winslow Whiteside was considered the second best lineup in the entire league behind only a particular Golden State 5 man lineup. If I had hate for Bosh I could use that "fact" as proof that Bosh hurts this team and that we could be very special without him...but that's if I had blind hate.

Whether it's outdated or not is irrelevant. Just saying that merely pointing out the facts isn't blind hate. Not a single person in here actually thinks the team is better off without Hassan Whiteside being productive and impactful, just saying that the stats state that Miami's been better with him off the floor. Some of that is on him, and some of that is on Spo. But in reality, that's what has played out to this point. In your dream world scenario where Bosh is a hindrance, even if you were to make those claims if true, you wouldn't have "blind hate", you'd be merely stating what's proven out. Nobody in here has that level of hate for Hassan. It's a straw man, whether you accept it as such or not.

Pointing at outdated stats to support an argument is irrelevant? Not a single person here thinks we're better off without Hassan? :noway:

You're missing the point and there's not a single sentence in your reply that I agree with. I'll just do the board a favor and bow out of this one.

Insert "pay him the max" replies.

Riles still won't
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

We already knew he can be great on any given night, I think the fornt office wants to use these last couple of months to see how he handles down night, can he improve in the areas they want him too, can he get into the "team first" psyche.

That's what's going to determined what we offer him.

Honestly it doesnt even matter anymore. Teams will throw the max 4 year deal at him on day one. Pat can sit in a room with him show the rings the same way he did did with Lebron and i can easily see Whiteside walking away towards another team. At the end of the day Whiteside will chose what he thinks is best for him.

Here is a simple point blank question to ponder. When Wade comes back will he go back to being our starter or play off the bench?

Wade should play off the bench the rest of his career, it makes the team fit much better, it takes pressure off him defensively, and helps to rest him.
he should be smart enough to understand it, give the workload to Dragic, push the pace and get Wade in when he can playin his spots, change the game plan to not be predictable, and close games that are tight down the road since he is so clutch.

It obviously depends on Bosh, but if he manages to get back, lets pray, the wholething might work, you need a couple more wings but its doable if Hassan walks.

Return to Miami Heat
