The guy just has no basketball IQ on offense, but on defense he is fantastic.I keep waiting for him to get it together, but we can't have a SG who shoots 30% from the field and make a playoff run.
Dipo has been cooling off a bit lately but give him a pass bc his defense defense alone is enough reason to keep him out there. He gave Dwill problems after he was done roasting Elf.
Aside from Vuc(who is avg 20 and 10 for Feb), Dipo has been our best player. He has been cooling off a bit the last 3 games but he is still avg 19pts 5 reb 4ast 2stl while shooting 45% from field and 89% from the line. Slowly but Dipo keeps improving right under our eyes and are too blind to see it bc of the FG%. When its not his night, thats when other players have to step up.
Alot of teams would love to have him on their team. I guarantee you that when those "Magic listening to trade offers for Oladipo" rumor came up, those phones were ringing off the hook. Realistically, how many SG are there in the NBA that we rather have starting for this team then Dipo? List is short. Even with his struggles on offense, Dipo is still a top 5 SG in the NBA. There are very few two way players left in this NBA. I never see Dipo with the a stroke like Klay Thompson or James Harden but he will improve his ability to finish at the rim, get to the line, and make better decisions. Victor is too valuable to this team to lose. The number #1 offseason move for us is to lock him up. I dont see him as a max player now but he will be one day so lets lock him up at a discount like we did for Vuc.
