But hopefully not to tell him how he needs to get the hell out of Milwaukee and play in a bigger market. :-?

Does anyone else ever think about how much hype he would get nationally if he played in New York or LA? It would be insane.

Giannis is our little gem and no one else can have him. Good if other markets don't know about him, he's ours, I'm not sharing.

Kobe gonna feel Giannis unleashed tomorrow.

To be fair, Giannis's development has stalled a bit. He didn't take some sort of massive leap this year. He's better, but he's a very similar player to what he was the end of last season. The lack of jump shot is a big reason why. At the same time, if you're going to throw that out about Giannis, it should have also been said about Gobert.

Don't have any problem with Giannis vs Gobert and who you would take over the other. Giannis has the bigger ceiling, Gobert has the (much) bigger floor.

But my god, talk about a trash class.

Yeah, I understand if it's a straight up debate between the two because Gobert obviously has the greater impact as of right now, due to his stellar paint defense. But as far as potential goes, it's pretty laughable that they put anybody from that class in front of Giannis. I guess Gobert has the better "potential" if we're going to completely ignore the offensive side of the ball?

Haven't seen the list but off the top of my head it's

1 - Giannis
2 - Gobert
3 - McCollum

They actually addressed his offensive play; they think he shows a lot of potential as a "playmaker and roll man".

For comparison's sake, here's the article they did on the Wiggins/Jabari class:
http://espn.go.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/14472833/ranking-andrew-wiggins-jabari-parker-2015-16-sophomores-future-potential-nba

Kevin Pelton has Jabari ranked at #10 in the draft class while Ford has him #2.

10?! Who are 1-9?

Ford > Pelton. Numbers geeks are annoying.

Some questions here:

- Do you think that Kidd telling Giannis not to shoot the 3 last year, threw his psyche about his shot off?
I remember thinking that after his rookie season and following summer league, that his shot was getting to a point where it has to be respected?

- Does Giannis have a shooting coach?

- I thought that because of his physical attributes he has DPOY potential, but so far he is an average defender by almost every metric. Why is that?

-Would you rather see him become a Draymond Green kind of player to maximize his impact or are you advocating him to get to that primary option level on offense (which would be bad for his defense as well)?

- Is Giannis more of a team guy or does he want to become an alpha dog? Did he ever say something about what he envisions to become as a player?

I really like Giannis, but I am a little disappointed this season. The lack of shooting really hurts the spacing and I thought his defensive impact would be much better.

They must have a weird definition of "playmaker" (1.8 AST per 36). The guy's an elite defensive big, but he has absolutely no range more than 3 ft from the basket (takes 82% of his shots at the rim, converts a pretty atrocious 26% from 3-10), and is only a passable FT shooter (60%). He has about as much potential on offense as Clint Capela, and it's entirely due to his physical gifts.

He's a damn good defender, metrics don't mean much when your team as a whole is bottom five.

Let's ask Kristaps?
