What did the Rockets do to have this terrible Karma. Hopefully Dmo defeats the odds. Sigh.

Now rockets are back in the tax. Deadline needs to be moved back to Tuesday. Or all teams involved should be allowed to shop around after the veto for like 24 hours. AND NOW THORNTON WILL TAKE KJ's MINUTES

Why do we pretend Thornton is good? He's not. He's shooting below 34% from three and that's his only skill

Can't fault them for protecting their own interests. That's what the Rockets did back in 94 (95?) with the Horry/Bullard/Elliot trade.

From what I've heard SVG wanted to take the risk but was overruled.

Hopefully we get Motie back on the court as soon as possible because we could really use him right now.

below 34% is still better than half of the team
his advantage is he doesn't need someone to create shot for him
he can create his own offense
if you haven't notice
he's the best scorer off the bench
Brewer can't shoot and he can't score when he can't outrun people in fast break
BTW Haren isn't shooting much better than Thornton

Harden is an all around scorer and facilitator. Thornton is a shooter. Much much much different. Thornton is doing worse than Harden when that's always been his best skill. He doesn't really create with the ball. The most he does is run around a screen and pull up. His passing out of PnR is terrible as well as his finishing ability at the rim. Also Harden's ts% is 59.3.
Thorntons is 51.2. I'd rather play Terry at the one with KJ than play Thornton. He is not a good scorer he's just streaky. You're putting too much worth in the 15 or so games where he was hot and not enough in every other game where he couldn't hit anything

Thornton is not a shooter he is a scorer
he just score
he's like Nick Young and Jamal Crawford
good for off the bench
rewatch the Phoenix game and see how bad the bench is without Thornton
btw KJ shooting is way worse and you rather play him?

In the d league KJ is shooting 35.8%. But that's not my point. My point is Thornton's best quality, the one thing he is supposed to be good at, he is not doing well. KJ's best thing is running in transition and defense. If he doesn't shoot as well as Thornton it doesn't matter, he does other things well whereas if Thornton's shot is off he's a complete liability on both ends. Also Terry would take some of Thornton's minutes and he's been a competent defender this year and way better shooter

And did you seriously just say Nick Young helps bench units!? Wow.

Or bench has been bad in games with Thornton as well. One game sample size is a terrible argument

he's a scorer that signed a minimum salary
what do you expect?
jesus
of course Nick Young help his team off the bench
or else he won't even be in this league
he is not consistent that's why he is on the bench

Pretty much how us Pistons fans feel. We actually loved the trade but I really don't know what's going on with his back. There's a chance that we make the trade in the offseason, who knows. I wish DMO was healthy enough cuz I really liked him. What are you gonna do though right

I expect him to not be good which is why he signed for the minimum. Don't play him

I don't expect to see Motie back in uniform and imagine he'll simply sign an offer with Detroit or somebody else.

Thornton taking KJ minutes sucks.

Not a great situation for Houston but that's the way it goes. Maybe Motiejunas is happy when Morey matches an offer for him and he sticks around as the starting PF for this team.
