At least Varejao will get a shot at a ring now that he's out of Cleveland.

To make room they cut Jason Thompson. Guy used to be a descent two way player. How is he now? Is he any better than Hansbrough?

Of course Detroit beat Cleveland tonight. Of course we're the Cavs' next opponent. Of course they're not gonna drop two straight. Ugh

And the Wolves are gonna blow this one against Boston. Just missed 4 of 6 free throws in garbage time to squander an 8 point lead in 30 seconds. Boston down 2 with the ball and 5 seconds.

EDIT: Well they held on, just knew that was going to overtime.

Lol, I have a friend who is a huge T-Wolves fan and he sent me the following text earlier... "KAT has 28 and 11 at the end of the 3rd. Even with him balling, I can almost guarantee we blow our 8 point lead."

We are closing in on the Hawks but Miami is trying to run away with the division. :(

They have indeed played very well with Bosh out. Let's see if they can sustain it.

Is it possible that Miami has better chemistry with Wade and Bosh out? Dragic appears to be playing at a high level with Wade out and McBob is back to doing McBob things. Deng also looks rejuvenated.

I think Bosh remains to be very underrated. I'd point more towards Wade and him not being a good fit for a spread offense.

Somehow MIA pulled out the win yesterday despite Wade going 4 - 21 from the field.

hoopshype with a 2009 redraft

1. Curry
2. Griffin
3. Harden
4. Derozan
5. Teague
6. Wes Matthews
7. Holiday
8. Danny Green
9. Lawson
10. Tyreke Evans
11. Rubio
12. Jennings
13. Carroll
14. Gibson
15. Collison
16. Meeks
17. Henderson
18. Hill
19. Hansbrough
20. Beverly
21. Budinger
22. Casspi
23. Mills
24. Blair
25. Thornton
26. Jerebko
27. James Johnson
28. Gee
29. Baynes
30. Llull

Thats a pretty deep draft. 3 superstars, a few more borderline All-stars and 25+ guys still lurking as at least rotation players 6 years after.

For the 2008 re-draft, they have DJ Augustin as 26th (we took him 9th), which is a bit harsh, but still shows the awful trend of Hornets failing in the draft. Our other 1st round pick, Ajinca, doesnt even make the top 30.

2007, we finally have a draft pick that is ranked higher than where we drafted - Jared Dudley, ranked 15th, we took him 22nd. Dudley and maybe Kemba might be the only two players in Bobcats/Hornets (post relocation history) that are ranked higher than their actual draft position.

2006 Adam Morrison (26) is behind Ryan Hollins (23). So I guess we get a high five for a half decent 2nd round pick. SMH.

How the hell did Morrison rank as high as #26???

Shouldn't have made the top 58.

Rubio has really dropped down in favour. The lack of shot has really killed his hype

Totally possible, they've got some good players that I thought were under-utilized.

They do have some problem with space. Wade and Deng are primarily midrange shooters. Bosh shoots more threes but he's still more effective mid post. Dragic likes to go to the basket and shoots midrange. Whiteside doesn't have much of a jumper, Winslow isn't a good shooter and McBob/Green aren't shooting well.
