Panda what I am saying is you are starting to let your preconceived notions cloud what you are seeing. Teague probes...that has literally been his game for years. He goes from one level to the next constantly looking for the angle to make the play. Now its "hesitation" because we don't like Teague and want to see disinterest.
In a game where we got 34 points ans 12 assist from the point guard position and most of the complaining is about one of the point guards? Seriously? Also...where was all this the other night when we played Miami and watched Dennis pass the ball to the Heat nearly as much as he passed it to this team?
This has been a season of stretches. Teague played okay, dennus was horrible. Then both played horrible, then Schroder played decent while teague still sucked, the Teague played great while schroder sucked and now they are in neck and neck play of hit or miss..
The THJ portion I agree with. And we need to move thabo yo the starter role as well.

I will just say this...
We lost by 10 and here is why and who lost us the game. Teague with 4-5 mins left...Gives up a Klay 3pt then gives up a easy layup to Klay and then give up a 3pt to Curry....8pts....
When Dennis was on Curry he only gave up what 4-6pts all game???? And I loved he wasn't afraid of Curry, even pushed him a few times. Teague plays so scared and he should be because DS is the true starting PG now.
AL and Dennis are starting to develop a nice feel for one another in the pick and roll game. While Teague just dribbles the clock down and pass out last second because he's too scared to take the shot or drive.

Peachtree Hoops wrote:[Horford] showed more aggressiveness and emotion in Monday's loss. It is no coincidence that the results were one of his best performances in some time.
Horford got himself involved early and the Hawks need that especially with Paul Millsap struggling a bit coming out of the All-Star break. Horford is averaging 12.9 field goal attempts per game on the season but took 20 against the Warriors. Not only was he aggressive in looking for his shot, but he attacked the paint with half of his attempts coming at the rim.
AH needs to forgo so many three point attempts and attack the paint. Play like a big man. GSW's vulnerable in the front court. As are most Eastern Conference Contenders. Let's take advantage of that fact...

When Al is in motion he a tough cover. He just needs to be in attack mode to the basket.

Absolutely, about Al. I haven't seen him that aggressive all season (he had more points in the Houston game, but that was a result of the 3 point shot falling), he this team on his back and carried it throughout the night.
I wish he would take initiative like that more often, instead of just camping out at the 3 point line. This is his team, someone needs to stress that to him. He was also a lot more aggressive on the glass.

I've wondered for a while now if the emergence of Millsap at PF, as the #1 option, and as perennial All Star has come at the expense of Horford's game. If this deterred Horford from being more aggressive ( and selfish) during rough stretches and demanding the ball.
Horford is a modest scorer, but a phenomenal passer and elite level mid range shooter. Putting the ball in his hands down the stretch of games is never a bad idea.
(Also, Horford excessively sitting at the three point line so often hasn't helped things much, either.)
Side NOTE: Mike Scott with double digit rebounds was very impressive as well.

Im sorry but this is not the same Teague. Teague didnt play well last night, hes good enough to get points, hes good enough to get some shots and points, but last night he was PASSIVE. last night he couldnt decide if he wanted to pass or shoot. he was timid. Im sorry theres no other way to put it.
Dennis was AGGRESSIVE. Dennis took it to their guards. Horford took it to Speights. Teague got frustrated and made some bad turnovers, bad passes.
Im off the teague train. Again, im the ANTI DS. But ive seen enough.

He still camped at the 3, the difference was that instead of settling for the shot he put the ball on the floor and drove or swung it after he sucked the Defense out. This has basically been the expectation of him for most of the last decade with his jumper but he only chooses to show off occasionally that he can branch his game out outside of just spotting up.

I'm not on the Barnes bandwagon. I've read that he's money > winning. Whereas Klay and Draymond took a bit less, he wants to get paid the max. He would be the 4th option on GS while getting paid the most money.
I wouldn'tt completely trust throwing our eggs at him while trading away Millsap.

It's one thing to probe but Teague is too indecisive sometime.
Yes both PGs have been inconsitent this season but if there is one thing that has been consistent with Dennis is his effort on defense. Teague not so much.

Seems like Al had more pump fakes in this game than he has had all season. This is what I want to see MORE of. Can we bottle this performance and let him sip this performance for the rest of the season.

Shooting 40% from 3pt Range, 48% from the field. 23 years old.
Hes maybe the 4th option on that Warriors team and hes playing next to the 2 best shooters in the league. Hes a star in waiting. I just think hes a pivotal piece we could get under contract for a long time.

Horford's little sister tweeted an illuminating stat sheet this morning:
[tweet]https://twitter.com/AnnaHorford/status/701995225057628161[/tweet]

Horford has limitations, but his game has no real flaws.
If we could put elite talent around him...he's the kind of player who can complement anyone.

The good thing about Barnes is that he plays in a similar system that the Hawks and Spurs do, so if he did come over, he could be producing right away and not have to struggle or learn the offence like Hardaway Jr or Thabo did

Before Bud turned AL into a stretch-5....we kinda did see it more often. AL's last year under Drew and first (injury-shortened) season under BUD saw his usual do-it-all production and high efficiency.
But as Horford has operated more and more away from the basket, his FG% has dropped, his FTAs have dropped, his scoring has dropped his rebounds have dropped.
When Horford has an advantage inside...we should play him inside. We might actually see this more often.

Re: 2/22: Warriors @ Hawks
I think the PnR with DS and what DS can bring to the table helps a lot too. Also, THJ being at the 2 spot helps. He his a 3 and a nice top of the key jumper and the DEF had to respect him. Opens up the floor
