Exactly. Warren has huge potential and he is a hard worker with great behaviour.

TJ doesn't possess the ball-handling skills that Hayward has. Honestly, the only player that I think could be a realistic target that I would trade Warren for would be Hayward.

And Hayward does not have the scoring efficiency and is about ten times as expensive for the next 3yrs.

Not to mention the fact that he can ditch us in FA after that. Rookie contracts have RFA clauses, which means that a talented player on a rookie contract is significantly more valuable than a talented player up for free agency in a couple years.

3, 12, Len and Knight is actually a great deal. I would throw Archie in too. Sign Durant and then buy season tickets.

Brandon Knight and Brandon Wright.

One of which we let walk in free agency. The other belongs in the D-league hall of fame.

Spoiler:
cosmofizzo wrote:If we want Cousins, we need to build a competitive team and snag him in FA. Because if we trade everyone away to get him, we're in the same position as SAC. Build organically. Be patient. Ommmm...

Maybe it's weird but I like rebuilding. I like watching young players first games in the NBA, watching them developing, thinking about future moves, thinking about who we will pick in the draft. And I think rushing things is shortsighted. Championship teams aren't build in a year or two.

Amazing how perceptions change.

Don't know why people lose their faith in Warren. Maybe he didn't improve much in his 2nd year but his 3pt shooting is better (one of his biggest weakness), he also had less turnovers. Sure his defence is still bad but Booker isn't good defender either (don't think anyone on this team is).

We added John Jenkins off the waivers list.
One more sharp shooter in this team.

Thought he would be a great pickup when I saw he was waived the other day. Great shooting potential on the cheap. We will play him and turn him into an asset for this summers hoopla. Low-risk, high-reward guy. Impact to supermax player FA option could be affected. Classic pick-up by McD. Great signing.

Another SG  .....
I am not excited about this player at all. Another McRae or Orlando Johnson.

His contract is only partially guaranteed after this year, so probably we are going to use him on a trade or waive him in the summer.

i thought john jenkins was a PG on the hawks

but he's a wing on the mavs? :dontknow:

assuming it's the same guy, it's worth a flier to see if he can fill up some of the 240 minutes remaining up for grabs in our rotation

Interesting look. Shot basically 50% and 40% his last year in Atlanta. Had back problems.

If you really want to drool a little, watch this, but don't take it too seriously.

Don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think John Jenkins can be an Archie Goodwin replacement. He had an amazing pre-season and can really shoot the ball.

I'm still big on Warren. I think we build around Len, Warren and Booker( Maybe Archie and Bled). Everyone else got to go.

Archie just doesn't fit in with this team. He reminds me of a Tony Wroten type of player who can put up "big" numbers on a historically awful team. He only has 1 elite skill, and that's getting to the lineup, which doesn't nearly make up for his lack of shooting and poor BBIQ.

IMO, Phil Pressey has already outplayed him.

Actually, I think he could be a Brandon Knight replacement. He can shoot and score in a lot of ways. Not sure what his D is like.

Booker is the Brandon Knight replacement.
