I haven't seen this scenario presented yet (forgive me if it has) but:

DMo could be a Daniel Bryan situation.

Houston doc tests him a month ago, clears him for take off.

We make the deal, test him with our doc and he's not good to go...SVG is like "WTF? He's already been cleared in Houston!" so they geta different doc as a fail safe...DMo fails again...DMo ain't a Piston!

Armed with the new test results Houston's doc has more info to help DMo rehab...dude eventually gets the all clear and plays.

It ain't that farfetched

Then Houston needs a new doctor.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Houston did not petition, and the nba allowed the void.

Unless i am dead wrong on this (ill eat crow if I am no problem) Detroit cannot just change their minds.

Both Houston and the NBA had no problem with the trade being voided

A trade can't be voided because a team just changed their minds, but passing a physical is one doctor's opinion vs another. If a team wanted to change their mind, they could tell their doctor not to sign off if they really wanted (and he agreed to do it), and then the trade can be voided citing their doctor wasn't comfortable enough to ok it - and there is no way the other team could petition. It's one doctor's medical opinion vs another. If a team says my doc didn't like the results and I trust mine more than yours, the league can't force a team to accept a trade that their docs don't approve, but that doesn't automatically mean that is the truth just because that was the reason given.

I don't know what it matters anyways. The trade is void no matter why it occurred. I'm just curious to see how he plays, because I wanted the trade and if he plays great I'm going to be disappointed. Like I said before, there was risk in making the deal, but also risk in voiding it if he ends up a star.

dude this isn't some craigslist deal that SVG can just decide to back out. There are reputations and relationships both business and personal that are impacted by this decision. Possible legal liability as Houston now will incur financial loss due to luxary tax implications.

Your whole drawn up scenario is really far fetched and "amateurish". Furthermoere when you look at the type of character SVG is and always has been as reported "straight forward", its highly out of character. Simply ,this is just wild speculation without a hint of a basis.

Lolololololol @ Stan getting DMO off Craigslist.
