Once we get everyone healthy we will be right back to being the Spurs East, winning 80%+ of our games. Y'all need to stop hating.

I got really *a lot* of laughs from this thread! I really appreciate it.

I think my favorite post was LyricalRico making it clear that even if Morris is a bad player forever, it's not Ernie's fault. It's not even Morris's fault. It's because Wittman has no offense at all for anyone to learn.

Plus, it's now become altogether obvious that Millie is a Wizards lurker -- I mean... he has to be, right? No one in possession of his faculties would raise his voice for MM after the 4 utterly horrible outings he's had for us.

nate33 wrote:You post is precisely the problem with the awful Morris trade. Without the trade, they could have been free to try to win games and make the playoffs, and if they fail, they at least get the consolation prize of a lotto pick. It's a win-win. But because of the trade, there is now a "maximum pain" zone where they neither make the playoffs nor get a lotto pick. And in typical Grunfeldian fashion, the Wizards are right in the middle of the max pain zone. They have little hope of getting the playoffs now, so the only way to have any positive outcome whatsoever is to tank.

Wow --- I agree with you 100% and I can't believe someone took the time to call us Panickers while we watch Wall waste the best year of his career, we miss the playoffs, we get a good pick but have to give it up------it's a LOSE LOSE LOSE - and even if we make the play offs as an 8seed. Welcome to Cleveland...while they play Redsox/Yankee Ball--- I.e. BRAKE THE BANK FOR THE RING...but we playing them in the first round...I can see Cleveland resting people by game 3- prepping for the next round. :banghead:

Yeah...We thought this through ...

Reading some of the asinine suggestions on this board lately is mind boggling. A loss here or there, everyone wants to blow it up!! Yet those games we win, Wall posts triple doubles, Marcin averages double doubles on the season, Nene looks to form, Beal averaging 20ppg, Sessions arguing for best backup pg in the league, no one has any praise?

I haven't posted because I look at the division, see the Wizards in 10th place, and objectively see how Boston and even teams like Charlotte and Orlando have IMPROVED this season as the Wizards have slumped. Losing builds up disheartening discouragement among some of us. I'm also PISSED to see how flippantly and dismissively this AT BEST SLIGHTLY BELOW MEDIOCRE GM tosses away first round picks. Morris has felony charges pending, has played poorly all season; and for my money I'd JUST AS SOON DRAFT DIAMOND STONE OR ROBERT CARTER. milellie111, winning games can be looked at tactically in a short-sighted, all that matters is today approach (like YOU seem to do IMO). OR, winning games can be looked at strategically over the long term. GIVE ME A SHOT AT BEN SIMMONS. TANK LIKE A BIG DOG AND PRAY you win the lottery. It could happen!

But, no...All in Ernie MFin Grunfeld wants short-term band aid over seething, gaping wound THAT HE has caused. (Draft Portis or Turner or Lyles [if he was available], or some OTHER PF. NOT OUBRE, who we are NOT EVEN PLAYING.) EG had to get Markieff Morris and burned the NEXT PICK because EG BLEW THE LAST DRAFT/OFF SEASON. Should have moved Gooden/Blair/Humphries SOONER! Get a draft pick who blends in and who has disparate skills. Don't be too DENSE to NOT SEE FROM THE GET F'N GO THAT STEPH CURRY IS BETTER THAN RANDY Phrukin' FOYE. I SAW THIS. SO did others!!!

I can't root today quite so quickly because I think this GM is a doofus. I'm a disabled veteran who just about got evicted. I've been dumped, arrested, falsely accused, REALLY DID DO SOMETHING THAT MADE ME LOSE CUSTODY.... I can be honest to strangers about my shyt. Ernie has had this job to the tune of MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. I TRULY, TRULY, TRULY believe I've been way better at draft picks for at least 10 years and I'd have sense enough to consult with capologists like nate33 or TheSecretWeapon and with geniuses like docklinkin and Dat2U and other sharp guys like SevernHoos, barelyawake, Consiglieri; ETC. (not made at montestewart, AFM, closg, Lyrical, Miller, and anybody else I left off.

EDITED TO ADD: (I WOULD ALSO ASK THE OWNER TO CONSIDER TRUE FANS LIKE MONTESTEWART AND PINEAPPLEHEADINDC over corporate shills. How is the crowd at Verizon rooting for Kobe????)

To heck with fake humility. Laugh and say Morris Almond sucked. Then see the real plus minus and point differentials and the 6-0 record of the Wizards. YES, I saw him suck on offense and him shaking like a lamb and him seeming not to connect. But the bottom line is he stole the ball played GREAT defense, was THE ULTIMATE team player. I don't care if John Wall didn't like him. He's WAY smarter than John IMO.

Oh ... rant. I don't think Ernie is good at all. I HATE that he's still GM. I think he's a super nice guy and super solid at protecting his employer. Otherwise, mediocre at best. This team has stayed around 39-45 wins. That's mediocre as phruck.

The goal of the Wizards should and will be to remain competitive and win as many games as possible. How can some of you guys as fans actually support prematurely throwing away an entire season purposefully? All for the sake of getting a GM and coach canned? Bush league!!

The players on this team with pride, careers, families and financial obligations, you think they will be on board to give up in the middle of the season to support the agenda of a few realgm posters? You think Ted, a successful billionaire, employer of many Monumental employees and dedicated owner sitting courtside at the games, would be happy to see his franchise mail it in? All to support the agenda a few realgm posters? Season ticket holders, fans with families bringing their kids to the games. How would they feel spending hundreds, thousands of dollars to see this team play at a competitive level? You think they would understand mailing in a season all to support the agenda of a few realgm posters?

Say Grunfeld and Wittman gets fired like many suggest. Kiss the Durant sweepstakes goodbye. He's definitely not coming to a rebuilding team.

A new GM would most likely blow this team up, and take at least 3 or 4 seasons to get it back on track. John Wall would be gone by then as he does not want to stick around on a rebuilding team wasting his career.

Then what? You've lost your main star/franchise player and you have to either trade/draft another one. 5+ years of missing the playoffs, potential revolving door of head coaches and falling back to the dark ages. Is that what some of you want? The grass is not always greener on the other side.

The best thing for the Wizards is to keep Grunfeld. Ted realizes this. The risk is not worth it. Canning him would set this franchise back longer than you might imagine.

You're always going to have some other team's mediocre castoff veteran. I liked Sessions from Nevada. In fact, I've LIKED ALL the Ernie FA and veteran additions but the problem is they're not on rookie deals and EG has (1) OVERPAYED, (2) LIKELY BID HIGH AGAINST HIMSELF AND NO ONE ELSE, and (3) BURNED BEAUCOUP FREAKING DRAFT PICKS THAT OTHER TEAMS SCOOP UP!!! (See Boston and soon Phoenix).

Win the most games by doing a damn sight better at managing assets. Stop playing checkers while others play chess on your head or the back of your shirt. That's how I REALLY FEEL.

Way harsh? I could die in the streets. PHUCK EG's feelings in a way. I didn't say he was terrible. I bet he's terribly nice. He's also terribly intimidating. Strong guy. Big Guy. Tough, NYC immigrant. I'm SURE I would like him in person and I would trust him if he were MY employee. That said, he's fixed, closed, predictable, and he gets PLAYED like my EX-WIVES and those who've lied on me (parenting/school kids stuff).

I'm not any better than EG. My personal life is at times scary bad. (But I'm also in a movie coming out soon ...)

milellie111, I'm going to cheer the wins but this time I have to vent... PLEASE FORGIVE MY GOD COMPLEX I KNOW ALL STYLE.

I'm just one dude with an opinion. AND A DISABILITY to boot ...

I'm of the wrong skin tone to say pan-nikkaz, but I'd be lying if it didn't cross my mind. New York Nikkaz is actually an amazing team name.

Please explain how u find those stats
Would like to see how credible they are to the eye test...

Your eye tests seem to involve seeing what you want to see. Mine see Oubre make a ton of mistakes - which I don't blame him for since he's a kid who plays like a kid.
