With the 3rd pick i would draft Jaylen Brown. With the Washington pick i would pick labissiere. and with the cleveland pick and the second rounder draft a Center and maybe a guy like Poythress.
With Brown we have a good defender on the wings. And with Labissiere we have a PF of the future.

Skal hasn't been impressive. He's Nerlens-extra-lite and Nerlens is light to begin with.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I'd stay away from Skal unless he was available with the Cle pick. Not likely I know, but Harrel went in the second round last yr, so u never know...

I agree. Not impressed at all with his game.
It's hard to tell how good is Bender in comparison with others because he plays in defferent league and don't get many minutes. But IF he will achieve his potential he would be a perfect PF in modern basketball. Combination of size, shooting, defence and passing is very rare. That's why he is projected to go so high.
It seems there is no safe choice in this draft. Even Simmons could be bust.

Don't like his attitude at all. He could have tons of potential but it doesn't matter if his mind is out somwhere else.
Brown has only 0.7 block and steal in 28 minutes. Will he be great defender people expect him to be? Would he be getting free throws on Suns team hated by referees?
Dunn is 21 already. Is he really good or just have age advantage on his opponents?

Bender is a unicorn. I said the same thing about Porzingis, so maybe I should keep it up in the off chance we draft him he'll actually do alright.
I think Simmons cares a lot basketball, he's 19 and needs to grow up, but I don't think he'll bust. Whether he's a superstar or not is anyone's guess.
Defensive potential is probably the least realized potential out of all the potentials listed for a young player. I'd be willing to bet Brown doesn't become a lockdown defender. Does realizing defensive potential really the make or break him though?
I think Dunn is good, but it's a point guard heavy league, so he might just be middle of the pack in the NBA.

With our pick, Brown.
If Hield is available with Bullets pick, no brainer. If not, Luwawu or Rabb.

I don't see the appeal of Brown. He's a (much) lesser Stanley Johnson. Athleticism is good, not great. He's just big for his position. I think Warren is the better player. I have no interest.

Do we want to spend most likely highest suns pick for ages on draft&stash? Can't say for executive, but i certainly don't.
Suns have very limited def potential, and Brown is a logic choice in that aspect too.

Jaylen is a better prospect than Stanimal. Stanley is heavier but their other measurements are the same, and I'm willing to bet Brown is the faster player. Jaylen has a better handle and great touch around the rim - something that's been a weakness for Stanley since college. They both need to improve on their shooting, and while Stanley is the more consistent one for now, JB has a more fundamentally sound shooting stroke that has improved throughout the college season and has shown no sign of stopping.

Athleticism not great? I think he's the best athlete in the draft, and definitely more athletic than Stanley. I don't know if we are watching the same player.

... Not saying much, unfortunately. And despite the takedown of Labissiere by another poster in the college basketball thread, I happen to think Skal and Simmons are the draft's best athletes.

Due to our bevy of picks, taking a draft & stash makes a lot of sense. BPA is BPA.
Given that we're likely to have better big than guard prospects available at #12, I wouldn’t be surprised if we grabbed both Bender and another 4/5.
BTW, and somewhat unrelated, I’d love to pull off a draft-day deal for Saric if we can’t get Simmons.

Yeah we will most likely double dip on bigs if we don't fall in love with any of the wings avaialbe. Another center to pressure Len would be nice, make him for work it so that he knows hat he won't just be handed the keys to the car. Stone/Poetl would be solid value in the late lotto and Zimmerman is intriguing. Philly would probably be open to moving Saric if they landed Simmons who is like a superior Aussie version of him. Bender only has a opt out clause the fourth year of his Tel-Aviv contract, so he will require a expensive buyout to bring over before 2019-2020. so he's still two year away from being two years and we won't know what we really have in him for a while. I don't know if we have the patience to wait so long. he would have lofty expectation the moment he arrives stateside to justify the investment. Granted he just turned 18 but the Porzingod Mania would dictate that he should also be an overnight sensation.

And who says Bender is BPA at #3? DX? Ok, have a certain amount of respect for Givony and Schmitz, but that is just their point of view that don`t have to be true, as events not once confirmed. The fact that Zingis emerged so quickly mustn`t lead us to a conclusion that certain, intriguing assets on paper simply must transfer on NBA courts.
Still not a fan of draft&stash at such a high picking spot. Wouldn`t mind it with mid or late first rounders, but at top 5...

What we need most is a PF. We have young talented players on every other position. But i am not a fan of Bender. I also like Ivan Rabb. I prefer to pick him with the third. Maybe it is a little too high, but in my opinion he is the best PF prospect in this draft. With the Washington Pick we can take a SF if Labissiere is not that good.

I think with the level of talent we have we must take the BPA. TJ and Alex are good, but not all stars, and if theres a possibility of landing a star you must go for it. Right now our core is very much being built: we dont have the defined core of young players Minnesota or even Milwaukee have. Another very high level player along with Booker would push our core to one of the better ones in the league, but we might not get that player in the first place if we're passing up on talent because of their position.

We need an All-Star (2-3 of them) more than we need a PF.

You are right. But i think only Simmons and Ingram have really good chances of beeing all stars in the future. If we can't get one of them, i would go for Rabb

Re: Who would you draft?
Most likely Bender. Kid oozes potential, and I like the idea of having two mobile and skilled 7 footers in Len and Bender be our future at the big spots.
If Bender's gone, I really dont know who I'ld go for. Brown?
