I think Kemba gets the nod. Irving hasn't played nearly enough. Detroit already has Drummond going to an all-star game, and I'm not sure the coaches pick a second Piston. I'd be pretty surprised if Kemba didn't get the nod now.

and Kemba snubbed again. The ASG is a good ol' boys club. Hard to get in, once you are in, easy to stay in.

Gasol deserves it though. I'm ok with that.

He's averaging nearly 21 PPG with shooting percentages comparable to Damian Lillard, both from the field and from 3. This is the best player this franchise has had in a long time, and nobody talks about it. Kemba had a breakout season.

Because half the fanbase is still convinced he sucks and is the reason we arent title contenders.

Kemba has indeed played very well since he rested for a game.

Fair enough. I like Leap Year, very fitting for the next few days as well.

The pouting of Kemba on this board has always been immature. He's been arguably the best player on the team since his rookie season, and to read a fan base of a franchise (circa Bobcats) that hasn't fared well in drafting not appreciate him all the while uplift/overvalue players with much glaring flaws and less production has always baffled me

Peace (until maybe the playoffs)

He is averaging just under 24 ppg since Christmas, 2nd in the Eastern Conference, and has won a bunch of games late for Charlotte. The Hornets would be insane to trade him anywhere. They have a young team, and they just need to attract a couple of veteran free agents in the offseason to become a high echelon team.

I jinxed Kemba by giving him a positive thread title. Shoulda kept it negative. He seems to react well to negative thread titles.

Kemba has a chance to finish top 15 in scoring. He's tied for 16 with Cj McCollum. Number 15 is Carmelo Anthony. Kemba's shooting pct and 3pt pct are clearly better than Melo's as well. Melo is considered a superstar. His brand is huge, whether he deserves it or not. Kemba is competing with the upper echelon of players in the NBA. He totally broke out and I'm surprised it's not more of an ongoing story here that we have a star player making noise around the league and stressing out defenses on a nightly basis. It's something to be proud of.

I think Kemba deserves all the credit for his play this season.

He really has become an upper echelon PG at this point and his 21/4/5 is near as good a season as any CLT player has had since expansion.

Quietest noise ever heard around the league. The buzz around him is virtually nonexistent and it's shaping Kemba, making him work harder and harder to get that recognition.
