It has nothing to do with Mario getting 40 minutes and everything to do with actually using him for his strengths (like not standing him in a corner and if he is standing in a corner making sure you're guards understand to pass it to him if he's wide open).

Maybe you think like that but there are a lot of posters who just want to see Mario ! Which I love as well but I also understand he has a long way to go on defense ! And in my post I mentioned that they did miss him open a lot of times that they should of kicked it out . And as for him standing in the corner some of that is on him not moving , when he plays more aggressive he gets more oppurtunities . But lately our offense has been fine it is our defense that is lacking , so it's not like we are hurting for points!

I agree about the player fans but some of us are level minded and understand player progression. As to the point about us not struggling to score, we sure have a problem with that EVERY game after the 6 minute mark in the 4th quarter.

I guess its good that we surpassed our win total from past year before March but should have happened end of January.

Love the win against a team we should beat 9 times out of 10.

Little worried about the defense we have been playing lately tho.

Some of Mario's passes were legit.

Yeah I saw the same thing and it pissed me off too. WIDE OPEN Dude was practically doing back flips. I'm sure that mistake will turn into "They all hate Mario."

Excactly !!! They did miss Mario a few times but I don't think it's personal , they just treating him like a rookie , and he is an after thought sometimes. (Right or wrong) . Skiles isn't telling Mario to stand in the corner and wait for a pass. With him being known for his attention to detail and preparedness I highly doubt that he hasn't made it abundantly clear to his guys to pass the ball, or that he doesn't know his players and what they can do.

In a recent pre game interview Skiles said that he had hoped Vooch didn't settle for mid range jumpers.(paraphrasing) Most of what happens on the court is on the players, if Mario is standing in a corner waiting for a pass then its because MARIO is standing in a corner waiting for a pass. He's not being told to not play to his strengths. People talked about wanting our guys to be held accountable but then refuse to hold them accountable for how they play on the court because they don't like our coach. Again, Skiles isn't out there working them like puppets.

I'm just happy that we're winning some games again. I don't understand the pessimism after wins; no matter who they come against. We haven't been a winning team for a few seasons now. There are times now where the team is enjoyable to watch and the progress should be welcome, no matter how small.

It because people have different agendas and a bias towards a particular player or against our coach and it creates separation. We could go on a 10 game winning streak and people would either be pissed that player x wasn't getting enter RealGM mandated mintues per game or be mad because Skiles is our coach so they make **** up.

I missed the game, but this is all I needed to see. :D :D :D

AG attacking the rim like a young Lebron.... That was beautiful. That's all he needs to do keep doing. His shot will come around as he gets to pick his opportunities... but he'll either score or get fouled most of the time he drives to the rack as aggressive as he did yesterday. Hope he really learns from this. This is the blue print for his accelerated development as a scorer.

Aaron and Mario (when he actually gets the ball) seem like they are our best options at getting to the line. We need them to continue doing that.

Fournier is a legit ball stopper though. Nobody is saying this because he's ahead of Mario. People have said this even when AG is open, and even AG said it in a postgame interview. That the ball needs to swing to the open man regardless if they're a good shooter or not, that it's the right play.

The offense will run more smoothly when everybody is a willing passer, not a passer that will pass 1 or 2 seconds too late. That makes all the difference sometimes. Which is why with Mario with seasoning + more NBA reps should be the starting 2 or 3. I think Fournier is an infinitely better threat when his head is on a swivel and can do Ginobili things.

He looks GOOD, right?

You can just see the potential in his offensive game oozing out. A solid foundation of powerful drives (with hops and hang time that allow him to get shots off a lot of others can't) that either result in a basket or a trip to the FT line, a good passing game where he's not afraid to keep the ball moving or get it to the right person, a highly improving jump shot, and handles to run a break.

I think he's going to be a power-point-forward in the future, like Dray Green, Blake Griffin, Webber, etc.

AG has become more capable of scoring lately. More then we give him credit for. We have to start running more plays through him and less to Fournier and Dipo. AG has showed he can get to the line. When he attacks the rim that aggressive, refs give him the benefit of the call most of the time. Feed the man.
