I have to believe that Dolan knows this has to be rebuilt. Even if Dolan hasn't educated himself on basketball to this point. He has to have
a team around him that's broken the current landscape to him. As far as what Phil was brought in for- whatever it is- his legacy is attached to it or his name... Phil can't leave this organization worse off then when he got here. I'm still speculating that we are in some type
of rebuild that Dolan and Phil are aware of.
If that was the case then why fire Fish, not buying this whole Phil is secretly doing a rebuild.....all his signings point the other direction.

He and Lebron have had some run ins about Kyrie needing to pass more in the past. Wouldn't shock me if he just isn't a fan of playing along side Lebron. Hell even before Lebron came there were already rumblings Kyrie wanted out of Cleveland and wasn't gonna re - sign even tho he ended up signing a new deal after the fact

What about the fact that he is hurt often and a low-key, low-energy player? Or the fact that reportedly he doesn't want to play with LeBron? What really good player would not want to play with LeBron? These are all bad signs, especially for him to play and thrive in NYC.
