I don't think you were around earlier in the year when Wade said "...you gotta feed the big dogs (referring to himself and bosh)". He absolutely demanded the ball.
My only issue with last few games is that for some reason, the team stops being aggressive when Wade is in because I think they're used to absolutely deferring to wade. You can see it in their play. When Wade sits and it's just Dragic out there, you'd think it'll go back to how it was with all the ball movement and such; nope. Not yet, anyway.
There was a point in the game where Wade did the same move for two possessions; he caught the ball at the top and brought the ball way down low between his legs before he attacked. There was 5 seconds left on the clock. The next time down, the exact same play occurred, late in the clock yet again, but he got stripped. Fast break score for NY and Spo called a timeout. Very next play, we got the ball up fast and initiated our offense faster.

I think it's a clear indication of what both are bringing to the team.
Furthermore......As noted in a Zach Lowe article in mid-January, the Miami Heat are 12-13 when Wade has posted a usage rate over 30 and 11-5 when he doesn’t.
I also posted stats that supported this. I think it was something like if Wade's attempts were below 15 we won most of those games. This was further reiterated by an article i think somebody posted in here a while back. I gotta find that report it was quite good.
It's definitely an interesting conversation to have but I think there's a lot of noise in that stat that Zach Lowe posted.
It's easy enough to to look at Wade's usage rate and make win loss correlations but in reality there's more that goes into that than Wade simply being selfish.
For example we're 11-5 when his usage rate is under 30, maybe that's because in those games other guys are going so he doesn't have to do as much whereas in games where his usage percentage is over 30 guys are struggling so he takes it upon himself to carry more of a load?
I'm just saying that I've seen both situations happen.
Yesterday for example Wade handled and did more than he needed too. That was a game where it would've been ok for him to defer some but we won so it's moot.
Other games though I've seen Goran and our other guys run around like headless chickens looking for Wade to save them.
I think the key is just trying to find a balance.
Wade is not Kobe, he doesn't take 20 shots out of arrogance, he take them because he truly believes that, that is what gives our team the best shot at victory.
And guess what? The other guys willingly defer because they believe it too, or at least they believe in him.
We'll see what becomes of it all. Frankly if you watched the games with the mindset of "Wade only wants what's best for the team" you'd be much happier than if you keep blaming his ego and comparing him to Kobe through some god awful nick names.
Because he is who he is.

Quote of the month.
I can't think of more than 1 or 2 games where I felt like Wade was kobeying his way around. He may have mailed in a few, but man, I don't think some here have seen what Kobe has done to the Lakers this season. Kobe has earned it for what he's done, but it hurts to watch. I am so thankful Wade just wanted his last big payday this season and therefore wants the brunt of the responsibility of shouldering the team. He could have made tons of excuses when we've played bad, but he didn't. I tend to lose sight of that in the moment, but I always end up remembering that afterwards.

Wode Kade is just purely for fun.....perhaps even to rile up the posters a little, for some trolling action![]()

But i'm thankful Wade has been healthy for the most part. My wife told me that i should just be happy that he's out there playing. The thing is, and why i am on Wade like white on rice, is because i want something bigger......i want Wade to win one more Championship before he hangs up that jersey for good. End his career the way he started and that's being an underdog, the public thinking he won't and then BAM! He shocks & achieves another and seals his legacy for good! Also digging in salt to Lebrons wounds seeing Wade win another before him, once more!
But times are different now, Wade isn't that same player that can carry the team on his back on a nightly basis. We need Wade fresh for when we are true contender. So he needs a team around him and a team that he puts full trust and faith in, to help him. Everything i say comes from a good place....to all these ignorant posters who think i merely hate Wade are just giving themselves itchy vag-holes for nothing. I want what you all want.....but i understand how we need to play to get there. And the adjustments resulting in us looking more cohesive & consistent only reiterates what i have been saying all along.

Its funny because watching the Heat since 03 it always excited me to see the ball in Wade's hands. I could watch him all day dominate the ball.......But it's different times now and far different situation. Prior to the Big 3 Wade had to carry the load almost every single game on a nightly basis. Why i criticize him now is because i believe he has a great team around him and would like those guys to flourish & thrive as best as they can simply because i believe we will win our next championship based on playing as a team, sharing the ball and having total trust and faith in one another. I truly believe this is exactly how we can win another one. And seeing how we've played minus Wade & Bosh further reiterates that belief.
I love Pop's philosophy that he hires and signs personnel based on personalities that have no ego and that they must 'GET OVER THEMSELVES' in order to be successful in his system. There's no real 1st, 2nd or 3rd option.....it's a system based on ball movement, trust, smarts and total team work. Obviously they run plays for particular players also but ultimately playing as a unit is their strength. We must adopt the same philosophy and watching us post ASG we thrive better doing so.
Not to say Wade can't dominate at times when he wants but considering we aren't even true contenders this season why not give your team mates more opportunities...so when it's time to go to war for that title, wether that's next season or the next, you actually have a team who feels they have the freedom to do just as much as the leaders have resulting in better team cohesiveness.
This is all i really want. The fact it took for Bosh, Wade & Whiteside to be injured for Spo to unleash our players and then realizing this was exactly what needed to happen is poor coaching on Spo's behalf. Now look at this squad we don't look anywhere near how we did in the 1st half of the season. Everything we've been doing currently is EXACTLY what i have been ranting about for months now.

I understand why they do it and acknowledge the reason....wich, spite of what some believe, is not because they lack aggression - that excuse just isnt justifiable any longer. I am also aware that Wade wants the ball & people must acknowledge this - It's too bad some people cannot identify this. And as i stated it's not like players are just doing it because they want to or they all of a sudden lose their nuts when Wade is on.
You gotta ask the question why they do it more often when Wade is on the court but as soon as Wade is out it looks like players are far more aggressive and playing w/ more freedom. For example in one of the games where Wade was out i have never seen Deng show hunger the way he dunked the ball in one instance and growled after he got fouled. That particular play personified aggression and freedom to be able to do what he wanted on the court - it was like he was free'd and displayed that emotion.....wich isn't there as much when Wade is on.
Do i blame Wade? i blame Spo more than i do any player. The coach is the top of the food chain & can later the situation. But as we all know Spo is str8 up p*ssy. But you gotta hold your leaders accountable also.
