Dolan should interfere here. Insist on playing young players. Sign Jimmer for rest of season and any other prospects interested.

Yes, Melo is a SF and Jordan was traditionally a SG. However, when he was in Washington, he played much slower and as a SF. Their games really weren't that much different at the respective points of their career. I'm curious, were you watching Jordan during those days? He couldn't penetrate, he posted up, he was high volume and most notably, he looked slow. However, like Melo, he could make some great shots and had skill. Melo at this point is not that much differrent. He is really really slow out there. These numbers put it in perspective.

Michael Jordan's Wizards Stats

01-02: 22.9 PPG 41.6% FG 79% FT 5.7 REB 5.2 AST 1.4 STL Record: 37-45
02-03: 20.0 PPG 44.5% FG 82% FT 6.1 REB 3.8 AST 1.5 STL Record: 37-45

Melos Current Stats

15-16: 21.5 PPG 42.3% FG 81.4% FT 8 REB 4.2 AST 0.9 STL Record: 25-36

Let that sink in...

One of the most odd comparisons I have ever, ever seen.

Fans just wanna see something different. Too bad a few players got caught in the crossfire, but they'll live. The Jimmer pandemonium is a middle finger to Kurt and Phil. We are losing and we are not entertained.

The triangle works well with small ball.

yes plenty worse. The Layden years with Houstons contract, weatherspoon, shandon anderson, howard eisley, othella harrington was much worse.

than the IT and Larry Brown days of Marbury, Francis, Malik Rose, Curry. Were much worse.

We have picks and young player to build around and outside of Calderon I don't think we have an unmovable piece. It just sucks right now because Melo looks really banged up and our guard situation is concerning to say the least.

For those that are begging for Dolan to step in and fire Phil: Pray that he doesn't, because those future 1st round draft picks will end up elsewhere.

At least Jose was savagely booed. Love it.

Shhhhh. Now repeat after me: "Melo looks great and he's got that hop in his step again."

Repeat again.

Again.

To be fair they only booed really at all when guys like KOQ or Lance shot... Most of them shaky at best looks too. They didn't really boo Grant when he missed a tough layup

They want the younger exciting players to get some burn and contribute, because it's more entertaining than half the slow, old ****s on this team

KOQ is 2 years younger than Jimmer, and Jimmer is the same age as LT. The crowd just wants Jimmer to take all the shots when he's in the game and doesn't want anybody else to shoot...he's become a sideshow, and what makes it worse is that Jimmer isn't even good

I get your point. I just think you're attacking the effect instead of the cause.

Jimmer being a sideshow is the effect. Playing Jose and Sasha undeserved and pointless minutes is the cause.

The natural course of this situation would be: Jimmer plays around 15 mpg, gets a fair chance, sucks and gets cut. We all can move on to the next target. Yay.

But no. They teased by signing Jimmer and kept playing the same players, while piling up losses and being close to unwatchable.

Bytheway Galloway has been pretty bad too. Doesnt deserve the minutes he gets if hes not going to make shots. Same with Lance.

Melo about to take that same Knick career trajectory Marbury had in NY. Scapegoat, losing, embarrassment, its all happening again.

Return to New York Knicks
