Yeah I think I've seen enough.....can't just let this guy go for nothing. Gotta keep him somehow. I know Wade will accommodate the FO so we can stay flexible.

The Heat are underutilizing his skillset. He should go somewhere where team will appreciate what he brings to the table offensively.

At the end of the day its going to be all about what Whiteside wants....
We see him as a bench players.....
Allegedly we play him off the bench to give him more looks......
Like many have said the writing is on the wall....

Whiteside, again, was a force, with 13 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocks in 33 minutes off the bench. Wade had high praise for Hassan afterward:

"Hopefully one day I can look back at a Hall of Fame career and say I was there for the beginning of it," Wade said. "He has an immense amount of talent. Since the break, he's been playing a dominant big man game and we love it."

Whiteside has five games with at least eight blocks this season. The rest of the NBA has one combined (by Anthony Davis).

People said Hassan was low IQ and SHAQ was high IQ. But which one of them figured out how to shoot free throws? Guy keeps progressing.

Don't see why the league is even thinking about changing the free throw rules just for Dwight, DJ, and it doesn't look good for the game, but Hassan is a walking example of why you work on free throws. A guy that was considered horrible is now highly respectable from there now, how? Working on hitting your damn free throws.

NBA rules should be similar to FIBA rules. would FIBA make a rule change to save a star center-bad free-throw shooter's ass?

hope I can see the highlights of Hassan's performance on youtube. I can't always find his highlights of his recent games.

The only thing that the NBA would probably take from FIBA is knocking the ball off the rim. For highlights, search for channels like GD's highlights(Heat fan) and FreeDawkIns.

I don't like the way travels are called in the NBA. NBA should be named National Handball Assotiation.

I know these channels and can search, but can't always find his videos.

BUT I HAD LUCK THIS TIME:

That's a great example of the weird point Hassan career is in.

On one hand - he's 26 YO, an age you rarely see a considerable improvement in 1 specific skill. Normal 26YO don't go from horrible to above average at...anything. That's because they already had 7-8 years to improve what they could, and if didn't improve by then - it's probably out of their capabilities.

But Hassan is practically a rookie. He's taking basketball seriously for about 2-3 years, and only had serious coaching for half that time. Which puts his learning curve in a very unique place - where his game can still make jumps you don't expect form a normal 6 year veteran the same age.

I want to see him add some passing ability out of the post. Shaq was great at that.

3pt range wouldn't be bad either....:D

Only bad thing about hitting jumpers is spo might get the idea of pulling him out when he is way more deadly inside.

I seriously doubt it.

Since we found Hassan he was a beast in some areas but had 5 major flaws :

1. Attitude - I think Pat and Zo had a long talk with him after the Spurs ejection. He had the allstar break to really think about what he wants for himself going forward. Since then he seems to completely turn the corner - no more pouting, bitching, looking gloomy on the bench or talking about minutes. He's been all about the W's and team and his attitude and body language looks 100 times better.

2. Defending the pick and role and chasing blocks - much better for a while now. He's more focused, getting out on shooters better, staying focused. He still has lapses, but he's improving.

3. Free throws shooting - Absolutely beasting since he changed his form, shooting 77% last 10 games. That's an amazing improvement, if he keeps this up it's huge for his game because people won't foul him which means many more easy paint baskets

4. Clogged the paint - well lately his jumper is looking totally legit. He really does have a mid range jumper he can hit consistently when open, and that's extremely useful for both him and the teams offense. We're only lately started to scratch that aspect, and I can see us exploring this more if he keeps this up.

5. Passing - well, that's the one area that seems to stall. It just doesn't come natural to him, he still forces when he needs to pass out, and having trouble seeing the court. IMO it's not a big deal, because the 4 other issues listed are all more important and impactful then his passing, and he's definitely improved a lot in all of them. Passing might come with more court time, and more understanding of our team offense.
