Also it seems to be a contender these days you need at least one Aussie on your team (Bogut, Mills, Delly). It looks like we may have got ours in Baynesy. Here's hoping.

Well, given that I was the first one to like the signing, nope, no regrets. He's capable.

I liked the signing and he has played well lately after a rough start, but what is with all the Baynes thread bumps all of a sudden? He hasn't been that good. He gets the job done for a backup C.

Of course.

Pistons "just felt like backing out of the rockets deal"

Pistons starting group "needs two more all-stars at least to contend"

"Pope is Rodney Stuckey"

"Baynes hasn't been that good"

 Being objective is not being a debbie downer.

I didn't say Baynes hasn't been that good, anyways. I said he hasn't been that good. There's a big difference. Your wording makes it sound like I said he hasn't been good at all. My wording means he's been good, but I don't recall him having any monster games recently, so I was wondering what 2 threads got bumped for just for playing good. That's all.

I didn't say we need 2 more all-stars to contend. I said we need 1 or 2 to win a championship. Big difference there as well.

I didn't say Pope is Stuckey either. Someone else made that thread, not me.

I suppose if you misread everything I've said the way you've perceived it, I can understand why you would think I was being a debbie downer, but if you read what I actually said correctly you would know I was just being objective.

I never said the Pistons backed out of the Motiejunas deal either, by the way. I said it was a possibility. Again, read what you're responding to before over-reacting next time and stop misquoting me.

I don't think there was ever anything wrong with Baynes or his game; it just took some time to get him well-integrated into the Pistons' game plan. Once it became clearer what his strengths were and how to play to them, he's been pretty damn dependable. I can't think of any specific examples off the top of my head, but I remember plenty of occasions early on where I thought "Dude--WTF are you doing?" That's no longer the case.
