I'm not doubting that he did it. I'm doubting that nobody else ever has. Indeed, I'm doubting whether there's any precise truth as to whether or not anybody else has, since the positions aren't always clearly defined.

E.g., could one argue that Lebron has played center, perhaps even with Bosh on the court?

Ahhh. I see what you're saying. Very good point. As many others, technically may have done so.
Bill Russell, for example, might be considered a Point-Center, by today's standards.

Hay, guys...

Anyone interested in this game?
If so...the question is: what do (except that they played for C's) following players have in common:
Danny Ainge, Kenny Anderson, Avery Bradley, Gary Payton and Xavier McDaniel

I was thinking something along these lines initially. Danny is from Oregon and Anderson played for Portland, McDaniel and Payton played for Seattle and Bradley is from Seattle.

Here's an open-ended one -- name one or more non-sports jobs or careers for as many Celtics as you can. By "non-sports" I mean that they really having nothing in particular to do with sports, except that of course the guy may have gotten the opportunity due to his celebrity.

Players to start with include:

Cousy (although I'm not sure whether it was real or just aspirational)
Heinsohn
Cowens

Jobs to start with include:

Actor (NOT portraying an athlete, although if you want to separately list the numerous Celtics who have portrayed hoopsters, please have at it)

As a actor...Cousy was in "Blue Chips"...Bird in "Space Jam", "Celtics pride" and "Blue Chips", Allen in "He got game", Shaq in "Blue chips", "Kazaam" and "Steel"... Bill Russell stared in one episode of "Miami Vice" and off course immortal Chuck "The Rifleman" Cooper
