always thought ronaldo's douchiness was bit overblown but his comment about others getting to his level is as douchy as it gets. if you have problems with teammates performance there are better ways to put it, and you certainly dont do it through the media.

at this point it is best for real to get rid of him, for team cohesion if nothing else.

He's a cancer. Doesn't track back, doesn't defend, throws tantrums when he doesn't get the ball, throws tantrums when teammates score, throws teammates under the bus, has to play every game 90 minutes regardless of form, has to take free kicks even though he sucks at them, etc.

Guillem Balague says they can't get rid of him and that they will sell James Rodriguez and possibly Isco instead.

If I remember correctly, Real Madrid hasn't won the league in 4 years (including this season). How is Florentino Perez still president?

Can be said the same thing for Messi. He always fought with teammates when things weren't going well.

Idk. Never seen him throwing tantrums because a teammate didn't pass the ball, or throwing a tantrum because a teammate scored, or said check out my stats.

Great player, but Madrid needs to let him go and start over.

I have never been a fan of Ronaldo because he is such a selfish player and the older he gets the more he develops into a glorified stat padder.
Sometimes it seems like he cares more about boosting his own goalscoring record and beating Messi's stats that he doesn't even realize that it's contra-productive in terms of winning the important games.
Real would be much better of if Ronaldo did actually start playing defense (well I guess this late in his career he won't start doing that anymore) and look to pass the ball a lot more to open teammates instead of jacking up contested shots. And of course it would be great if he'd let someone else take free kicks. He's not very good at it to be honest.

Obviously, he's a top 2 player but he could've achieved even greater heights in his career if he wasn't so selfish.
That's just my 2 cents on Ronaldo, though.

at this point he needs to give up on catching him, messi clearly had the better career so far and he is two years younger. needs to control his ego and try to get as many silverware as possible so that he can still find himself among upper echelon of all time greats.

Messi with the hat trick. Good performance.

I think its too late for Ronaldo to change who he is. If the team plays well they are still certainly capable of winning the CL.

Why do you want a player like Ronaldo to play defense ?

Doesn't make any sense.

Btw, i'm a Messi fan, the best player in the world, probably the greatest ever.

Because its a team game and you are actively hurting your team by not defending?

Messi doesn't defend as well and everybody is ok with that. Same with Ibrahimovic. This is guy is a scorer, the best in the world doind that, he doesn't need to defend, special on a team like Real Madrid.

Messi is defending in some of the bigger games. Obviously, not a lot but he's certainly not a bystander to the degree Ronaldo is. And you have to consider that Barcelona ALWAYS has lots of possession.

So when you have the ball anyway it doesn't matter that one or two players are not interested in defending that much. But when you offer more possession to the opposing team like Real Madrid does you can't have bystanders in there. Especially not on the wing positions.

Messi actually defends. He is always moving around the pitch looking to unlock the the defense. Ronaldo while a great scorer is reliant on the midfield to get the ball to him while he stands pat in the front.
