Finishing the season strong, the draft lottery, the draft, and free agency. Going to be fun.

Houston got rid of a drunk and signed a weed head. The shot selection between Smith and Beasley is going to be fun to watch.

Curious to see what happens with Fournier coming back soon. This team has been in so much lineup turmoil this season it's unfortunate.

I speculate that we have found our long term starting 5 (until Durant gets here of course  ). Fournier needs to be our Ginobili, the crafty 6th man.

This team :noway:
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

With the massive bidding war between NBA teams with all this cap money, Magic may end up just running with this group next year and see how they develop. I think they should use this years 1st packaged with some players for a surprising trade. Because, Henny needs to do something.

This is the lineup i wanted to see from the beginning of the season! Happy it's finally happening! Hope they keep rolling with it when he comes back too!!

My sentiments as well about the bidding war and i don't see henny busting the piggybank for someone not worthy! And to be honest with you.... one summer with this group might see a lot of gainz even if the starting lineup stays exactly as is now. "ORGANIC GROWTH" will occur between this group because in my opinion.... these pieces will fit together much better than our lineups of old!

but yes.... STILL praying that HENNY might have onnnnnne friend .... and that is durant. payton,dipo/hezo,durant, airgordon and vooch would be a dream come true! Throw in a lil horford.... and we would be slated for success! hahahah ... i love day dreaming... but they are still possibilities!

I agree about waiting to sign guys unless theyre bonafide stars or our guys down the line
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

Yeah, I think we should wait if it isn't Durant-Barnes-Parsons, Barnes and Parsons would add so much depth. We could resign Jennings to a nice deal that we can move next summer, draft a rookie at forward and let the core grow together, we still have to pay them!

Payton/Jennings/Watson
Oladipo/Fournier/Marble
FA/Hezonja
Gordon/Rookie
Vucevic/Smith/Dedmon

The only problem is if the FA isn't Durant then does Mario start over Barnes or Parsons? Tough call

YUP!!! I can see myself already cringing at the sight of some of the contracts that are going to be handed out this summer! Happy hennigan made that comment that they are not willing to grossly overspend for anyone! Throw the house at durant, lebron and drummond... (not saying that's what is happening). But i would hate to get 20%+ of the cap tied into.... "Meh"

I would much rather know we have the cash to re-up on second contracts for our BUDDING youth!

It was reported he learned of it last Wednesday morning after the Philly game. Not sure if it was from much earlier and just flared up. He is 50/50 for Friday's game.

These recent losses and westbrooks dumb moves must surely be putting doubt in Durants mind as to whether he can go any further with that team. Having durant on the team would free up so much room for everyone else, would make everyone else better. Would be so good on a lot of teams I know, but i seriously day dream about durant on the magic all the time.

Our team would be definitely take a huge step! As I saw somewhere.... hope henny's relationship... plus the fact that they barely squeaked by us and our young team with wins. And as i said... Payton, Oladipo/hezonja, durant, gordon and vooch would be an impressive team for the next 5+ years... Easily...peaking at the point that everyone is trying to figure out their next step with less sustainable rosters (including Philly digging in the lotto.. .haha... jk)

Woj said Durant only considers contenders. That's either OKC or GSW. Can't see him coming here.

As we stand right now today, we are far FAR from contenders. In ONE offseason, that could all change. Possible additional lottery pick, signing 2 max guys, our current squad oozing with potential.... there's a lot to like.

Hard to believe it's nearing that time of year already.

[tweet]https://twitter.com/JoshuaBRobbins/status/705577938587140096[/tweet]

The Magic will field two teams again — one squad that includes the Magic's draft picks and potentially some returning players and one squad composed primarily of NBA Development League hopefuls.

We'll obviously go for Durant but after that completely agree there are better choices in 2017 and they fit us better + our core could prove they can make the playoffs making little easier to lure top assets.

* this is question I have asked that was never really answered does it make more sense for us to sit on all of our cap and be way below salary floor or does get a few quality vets overpay them to 1yr deals the end results in 2017 are the same right? What is the punishment for not reaching salary floor? Does it really matter etc?
*not sure of answer to my question but I would like to see us spend some money on Noah what ever it takes to get him on 1yr deal I think he can be nice voice in locker room, leadership and possibly give us a solid year of production even if he does not work out its off the books immediately + maybe gives us a shot at some one like parsons who I would prefer to Evan Fournier resign if there cost is similar
