I'm down with this 100%. He has an amazing shot and could be a valuable asset off the bench. If he has indeed turned the corner that makes our lives as fans a hell of alot easier.Todd3 wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Hey let's not forget how horrific Bullock has been. Has he broken our of his slump and been quite good? Yes. Was he perhaps the worst player on the team before that? Oh yeah.DetroitPistons wrote:Who cares?
Bullock > Meeks
What worries me about Bullock are his nerves. The worst kind of player any team can have is a high pressure failer. That was on full display when Bullock chocked up on an easy as pie push shot 2 feet in front of the rim in the Raptors game. He started playing much better later in the game but it immediately reminded me of Keith Van Horn. Remember him? Pressure crushed that guy.
Now the two players roles couldn't be more different but if foul trouble strikes he could be called upon and I just trust Meeks more.
Maybe Bullock can change my mind over time, but that's gonna take away.
It's becoming apparent to me now that his play early in the season was just due to not getting enough minutes to settle into a rhythm, and nothing to do with stage fright or anything like that. He was only getting like 5 mpg and 1 FGA. No one can produce in those circumstances. In the preseason he got 20-25 mpg and 4-5 3FGAs, which is about what he's getting now, and he's playing the same against top competition now. So I think he just needs adequate minutes/shots to get his rhythm like most players.
Guy is butter when he's on.
