I'm disappointed I gave up sunshine and the beach on a Saturday to watch this. I'm out for now.

This is actually one of my biggest fears with Skiles. Players talk.. Skiles has been around the league long enough and has established a reputation. Thibs is probably going to coach Minnesota but I would beg him to come here if I were Rob

This is bordering the level of being whupped by Sixers at home. I mean, Suns are almost all backups due to injuries and still killed us on road. Suns had lost 17 road games in a row and were on a back to back then just killed the Magic.

The offense was horrendous tonight, and when that happens, Elf is able to free-style, and we lose by double digits. Looks a lot like last year under JV. Woo hoo.

The game wasn't lost because of him "freestyling" though. In fact, he was one of the only positives aside from 2-3 plays in the 3rd he probably shouldn't have made. I'm saying I just don't like when he calls him to play offball 70% of the time and not break people down. When everybody is sharing the ball is when we play well, so that can happen with or without Payton freestyling with the ball.. we just have a huge passing problem for a lot of people on the team.

I was busy so I decided to skip the game thinking we were going to beat this scrub easily, especially considering they played yesterday. LMAO!! So good to see the GOAT Ilyasova taking 14 shots and hitting 2 of them. Can someone walk me through the game tonight?

where are these guys you speak of?

start a "Fire Skiles" thread and wait

Lmao.

What I don't get about the Skiles Cult is they roam around the forum defending him yet turn around and admit he will get fired in 2 years.

Logical fallacy?

And most of those plays looked like they were off the Skiles script.

It's clear that Skiles doesn't run a system that gets the most out of Elf. And given that we're a losing team, it's a fair question to ask who exactly we are getting the most out of?

Fournier? Honestly the only person that has an improved role. Jason Smith.

Yeah but think about what you're saying -- you're actually making a strong argument for Skiles' offense. The team has been pretty good offensively lately, very good at times. Skiles' offense wasn't winning the game before Elf took over. And Elf taking over was an individual thing. It's like Vuc and Fournier refused to go off script with Elf.

At least Ilyasova made a cut under the basket for an easy, wide open look off an Elf pass. Vuc? He was standing where Skiles generally has him stand, but not getting open to give Elf an outlet.

Unfortunately, ownership will get rid of Rob first.

I was upset Oladipo was out but his absence should not have allowed this still. Alex Len went off and we had no offense at all. I'm over it. We are not good and don't deserve to make the playoffs. We are stuck at "potential" and just can't win.

I really don't get why Gordon was benched. There were no plays ran for him.

Does anyone have any advanced stats/info on the amount of midrange jumpers our offense produces/attempts? It's kind of incredible. Jason Smith and Vuc are the only two players that should* have a midrange green light.

I hate Papa Johns for showing that stupid MagicWin commercial after an embarrassing loss. As if I want to buy their Pizza after this.

Would you take Jacque Vaughn over him?

No joke, give me JV back.

Ok, then there is clearly no having a conversation with you about what is and is not good coaching in the NBA. If you think JV could even hold Skiles' jock, then you are either delusional, or just intentionally pushing an anti-Skiles agenda and saying anything.

By the way the team is better this year under nearly every measurable you can think of, most importantly record. That is with virtually the same roster Jacque had. You have clearly forgotten what a dumpster fire this team was under Vaughn. It was unwatchable. But you have the torch and pitchfork out calling for Skiles' head, so facts are not important to you.

I am not optimistic for the playoffs next year either.

Maybe, this is part of Henny's master plan to have 2 consecutive tanking coaches.
