I don't like hating on Alex Martins and his ridiculously wet hair, since we very well may not have a team in Orlando right now if not for his efforts in securing the new arena. But he loves Scott Skiles and I don't.

I don't hate Alex Martins. I hate the ownership that thought a marketing guy should be president of the club and have influence on basketball decisions.

I've checked out. Such a disappointing season. Sad thing is that there is no help in the lottery. Praying we can add someone of significance this off season.

Argggh. At this point I'd take Dwight as long as he understands it is for the defensive end and then add Parsons. I can't see anything else. Damn.

You know, I was for bringing in Dwight at the right price (just last week) but his mental-makup just wouldn't be a good fit. We need Ben Wallace not Dwight Howard. His history with this team has nothing to do with it at all.

Parsons isn't a big difference maker but I would welcome him over giving the same money to Evan.

Next year is going to be another rough one if we don't make a solid trade or two.

OK, so this is where I'll step off bashing Skiles even though Boston has a WAY better coach (and it's probably the biggest reason why their record is so much better than ours but...).

Danny Ainge isn't worried about bringing in choir boys. Their big minute guys are tough guys. I think we're easily more 'talented' but the Celtics have guys that would fit in perfectly with our heart&hustle team. Hennigan needs to shake things up a bit and get a few players like Crowder and Bradley (no nonsense guys).

Their best player (Thomas) is better than our best player. Avery is one of the best glue guys in the game. Crowder has had a great year. Evan Turner is another great glue guy that does a little bit of everything.

They are more talented but don't have the potential our guys do. Is that a good thing? We will see in the coming years...but right now, they are certainly more talented than we are.

So not only are they more talented but they also have THE MOST underrated coach in the league...and that was something I said last year. This year...he has gotten to another level. Boston could have their head coach for the next 10 years...or as long as he wants to be there.

And I think they also still have 2 unprotected Brooklyn picks headed their way....at least one, for sure.

They have a slew of picks coming...it's pretty crazy. Unprotected from Brooklyn this summer...in addition to Dallas' first round pick. They will also get Philly & Minny's 2nd round picks from this year (incredibly valuable). Not to mention their own first. Icing on the cake? They get Cleveland and Dallas' second round picks. THEY HAVE A TOTAL OF 8 DRAFT PICKS THIS SUMMER. Is this the NFL? I think it is same to say they will be making a trade or two.

In 2017, they have the option to swap 1sts with Brooklyn...which is a pretty safe bet to happen. Other picks in the mix as well.

They have an absurd number of picks in the next few drafts. Ainge will have to be aggressive, as they simply won't have nearly enough roster space to accommodate their draft picks.

Why does skiles refuse Nicholson meaningful playing time? We desperately needed him f have a chance waaaay early on tonight.
Favorite Magic players of all time:
1. Dennis Scott
2. Andrew Nicholson
3. Anthony "no-neck" Johnson

why are we comparing ourselves to Boston? They're obviously much better and much more well-managed.

We should be comparing ourselves to teams like Denver-Detroit-Charlotte etc

I like Vucevic, but as I said prior to the game - opposing centers kill him, Vooch will put up 30 but his opponent will put up 32. I say we trade him for either a defensive minded 5, or sign a 5 in FA, but keeping him is not in our best interest IMO. His defense is a big part of our problem.

Missed the game, but how the hell did we manage to lose this one? I see EP had a great game and Fournier in the SL. Len went off on us again. But wow, blown out by Suns at home? Can't get much worse then that.

Return to Orlando Magic
